* Bridget quitting Daniel and her job and giving him this gem:
--> '''Bridget:''' [[BewareTheNiceOnes Thank you, Daniel, that is very good to know]]. [[WouldRatherSuffer But if staying here means working within 10 yards of you, frankly, I'd rather have a job wiping Saddam Hussein's arse]].
* [[PetTheDog Perpetua sticking up for Bridget]]:
-->'''Perpetua:''' I want to hear this. Because if she gives one inch, I'm going to fire her bony little bottom anyway for being totally spineless.
* Bridget, after telling off Mark, rejects Daniel's offer of starting over again:
-->'''Daniel:''' Come on Bridget, we belong together - you, me, poor little skirt. If I can't make it with you then I can't make it with anyone.
-->'''Bridget:''' That's not a good enough offer for me.
* May have been short and didn't stop the couple from hassling her about her single status, but Bridget's comeback and Mark's rebuttal just fits and points out early the chemistry they share:
-->'''Bridget:''' [to Cosmo and Woney] [[DeadpanSnarker Tell me, is it one in four marriages that end in divorce these days, or one in three?]]
-->'''Mark:''' One in three.
* Daniel and Marks' WimpFight is this and a SugarWiki/{{Funny Moment|s}}.
* Bridget telling off Mark after the "Smug Married" dinner, this pushes him to start admitting the feelings he has been harboring for her and leads to a SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment|s}}.
--> '''Bridget:''' Look, are you and [[SmugSnake Cosmo in on this together]]? [[DidYouThinkICantFeel Because every time I see you, you seem to go out of your way to make me feel like a *complete* idiot. And you really needn't bother: I already feel like an idiot most of the time anyway - with or without the fireman's pole]].
* Bridget and Marks' confessions to one another, especially in the 1st film, shows a lot of CharacterDevelopment when the haughty and strait laced Mark and the insecure and self-deprecating Bridget are willing to just grab the bull by the horns and heart and open themselves up in a way that could leave them vulnerable to heartbreak.
** On that there is also the interview with Aghani and Heaney has a touch of this with the normally eloquent Mark Darcy shyly talks to Bridget about [[EarnYourHappyEnding Heaney's love for her husband as a prime motivation to keep him from being deported and executed in his home country]] and Bridget asking Heaney [[LoveAtFirstSight if she fancied her husband at first sight]]. The fact that there is a married couple that is really spending more time fighting for their love and marriage rather than sneering at people for being single, that Mark is realizing how much he loves Bridget, and that Bridget asked such a question of the two freedom fighters is not only a SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment|s}} and awesome, but a reminder of ThePowerOfLove.
* In the sequel to the novel, [[ShutUpHannibal Shazzer tells off Cosmo and Woney, the Smug Married couple,]] [[TakeThatScrappy for bugging Bridget about not being married and that her life isn't any less well-adjusted than theirs]]. She scares them off.
** Jude also calls out the behavior of Smug Married couples in her wedding toast (partially written by Bridget) when she thanks Bridget and Shazzer for being her best girlfriends who have her permission to ask about her sex life if she ever asks the dreaded question "How's your love life?" Cue many quiet married couples in attendence politely clapping.
---> Today I bade farewell to being a Singleton. But although I am now a Married I promise not to be a Smug one. I promise never to torment any Singletons in the world by asking them why they’re still not married, or ever say ‘How’s your love life?” Instead, I will always respect that that is as much their private business as whether I am still having sex with my husband. I promise never to suggest that Singletondom is a mistake, or that because someone is a Singleton there is anything wrong with them. For, as we all know, Singletondom is a normal state in the modern world, all of us are single at different times in our lives and the state is every bit as worthy of respect as Holy Wedlock. I promise also to keep in constant contact with my best friends, Bridget and Sharon, who are living proof that the Urban Singleton Family is just as strong and supportive, just as there for you, as anyone’s blood family.
* In the second book, Bridget saves Giles from his suicide attempt and manages that while trying to get help when her romantic rival and shitty friend Rebecca [[TooDumbToLive fell off a bridge after standing on it to catch Mark's attention]].
** Bridget works to get herself freed after being wrongfully jailed in Thailand. Especially since the British consul is less than proficient. Also when the Drug Squad are less than inclined to act - since the guy who set Bridget up, Jed, is 'in Dubai' - she pushes them to investigate further, refusing to leave things as they are. This is despite spending days in a cell without even bare necessities such as a proper toilet or change of clothes.
* The third book features Wallacker saving children after a reckless driver endangers their lives and trapped the children.
** Bridget gets several:
*** She stands up to the Smug Marrieds when she calls them out for their outdated views of women and middle-age, [[DareToBeBadass that in this day and age a middle-aged woman doesn't have to blend into the background and be defeated by their age and instead still be vital, active, and sensual]] while [[TakeThat gesturing to an older, fatter, and duller Woney]]. This and a latter situation inspires Woney to quit being a [[http://youtu.be/2h_VC7MfSGI broken window]].
*** She defends her form of parenting when Wallacker (likely either failing to understand her POV and thinking she's like all those other vacuous and shallow Moms) tries to tell her off for coddling Billy and not disciplining her kids enough, she says that she won't send her kids off to boarding school like he does since kids need their parents affection and attention.
* [[RaceForYourLove Bridget racing to catch up with Mark]] after he read an old negative diary entry about him in nothing but a sweater, camisole, bra, tiger-striped panties, and sneakers. This moment isn't just pure SugarWiki/{{Funny|Moments}} or {{Fanservice}}, [[FaceYourFears after being insecure about her body and how others regard her during most of the movie, Bridget just disregards those fears for this instant to catch up with the man she loves]]. That is good CharacterDevelopment.
* Creator/ReneeZellweger's acting in the films are a RealLife example. There were doubts expressed that the Texan-born American Sweetheart would accurately portray a white-collar, middle-class single English woman. Well she worked on her accent, while working in an English publishing house for a year, to the point that her British co-stars were convinced she must actually be from the UK.
* Another RealLife example is when [[http://www.standard.co.uk/news/get-london-reading/helen-fielding-tells-schoolgirls-learn-from-bridget-jones-and-stay-true-to-yourselves-9757445.html Helen Fielding herself talking about why Bridget is an excellent role model]] while talking with some preteen schoolgirls about the challenges they will face when they get older and that she herself was a "naughty" girl who lived in a working-class area who went to Oxford University. The Moral? Never underestimate yourself or others.
* After years of being in DevelopmentHell...the third movie was released in September 2016. [[https://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/oct/03/bridget-joness-baby-working-title-1bn-uk-box-office-eric-fellner-tim-bevan?utm_term=Autofeed&CMP=twt_a-film_b-gdnfilm#link_time=1475506669 Then the film was enough to make Working Title the first British film company to rake in a billion dollars in the U.K.]]!
* After two films of Pam Jones making prejudiced comments (especially about the Japanese being a cruel race), Bridget finally puts her foot down and tells Pam off for being prejudiced against same-sex couples, non-traditional families, and people of different races and cultures. This is made awesome when Pam invites and does a fundraiser with people of such groups and delightfully finds out they are normal people [[CoughSnarkCough (or normal compared to Bridget's mother and her friends)]], taking Bridget's speech to heart; Pam then wins her political seat.
* Bridget's parting shot to her boss in the third film:
