* Pretty much the whole climax is one Moment of Awesome after another:
** If you are reading this page, you'll know how Violet fooled Count Olaf in the book to not get married to him: She signed the marriage contract with her "non-dominant" hand, which in the zany rules of the ''A Series of Unfortunate Events'' universe, somehow makes it void. She tries the same trick in the movie, except this time Olaf notices it immediately, almost as if he was expecting it.
--->'''Count Olaf:''' Right hand, please.
** After the above, there's the scene where he gloats to his audience that he is now legally married to Violet thanks to Justice Strauss, and when Mr. Poe orders that the Chief of Police arrest him for being a monster, Olaf counters by stating that Poe and all of the other adults are monsters themselves for all the times they ignored the children when they pleaded for help. Admit it, Poe and the others deserved it. If not for their stupidity things wouldn't have been so difficult for the siblings.
--->'''Count Olaf:''' Oh, I'm the monster? ''I'm'' the monster? ''You're'' the monster! These children tried to tell you but you wouldn't listen. No one ''ever'' listens to children! You think you're innocent? You're accomplices!
** Violet's moment in "The Bad Beginning" gets given to Klaus here: making a grappling hook out of spare parts to climb the tower and rescue Sunny. Bonus points because this is ''not'' Klaus' area of expertise but he manages to make something pretty serviceable and sturdy.
** Admittedly, it's something that everyone saw that coming, but ''the sky itself opening'' to let the sunlight hit the lenses and burn down Olaf's marriage contract. Olaf just won, and it's bragging about it, giving a well-deserved TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to everyone else, and then you get the closest thing to DivineIntervention this series ever had.
** Another awesome moment in the climax: Count Olaf aka Mr. KarmaHoudini gets a full dose of LaserGuidedKarma in the film with a cruel and unusual punishment: Having to go through all the Hell the kids went through in the film. This includes, fighting the man eating fish, escaping from the wreck of the house, and escaping getting ran over by the train.
*** However, he escapes and survives each mess up in those really dangerous situtions. But, you gotta hand it to Olaf, he don't give up.
* It seems easier to say that Jim Carrey is AWESOME at playing Olaf.
* Also, Klaus standing up to Olaf when he makes his intentions for their fortune obvious.
-->'''Klaus:''' You won't get a cent until Violet turns 18!
-->'''Olaf:''' Oh really? ...says who?
-->'''Klaus:''' The law. Look it up.
