9	* Takao defeating Hiruta in the first episode. Hiruta appears undefeatable, even with Takao doubling the length of the launcher's ripcord to increase his beyblade's spin and thus the power. But, literally overnight, he comes up with a way to [[DifficultButAwesome ring-out Hiruta's defence-based beyblade]].
10	* Kai in the second episode. It looks like he would be punished for beating up Hiruta (itself a punishment for getting his ass handed to him by Takao) by being on the receiving end of a CurbStompBattle... Cue the [[GoombaStomp Spinning Fire Bomb]], so awesome that, for the entire run of all the three seasons of the original series, a beyblade pulling some sort of attack from above (called ''gattai'' in the [[TabletopGame/{{Beyblade}} actual game]]) became the sign its blader was a serious contender.
11	* Max vs Kai at the national tournament in season 1 is this for both.
12	** First set: Max's pre-Bit Beast beyblade, Protoshell, is [[NoSell completely invulnerable to Dranzer's attacks]], so what does Kai do? [[GoombaStomp Spinning Fire Bomb]]. Cue OneHitKO, and 1-0 for Kai.
13	** Second set: this time Kai doesn't even bother with normal attacks and goes directly for the Spinning Fire Bomb. Too bad that Max made Protoshell spin left, so when Dranzer hits, Protoshell not only resists, but the opposite rotations end up ''stopping Dranzer and making Protoshell spin right''. 1-1, and the ''only'' time a connecting ''gattai'' attack is completely defeated (every other time it usually has at least some effect).
14	*** This gets two [[CallBack Calls Back]]. The first is in the very following episode, when the Chief, among the modifications he does to Dragoon, has it spin left, a characteristics ''all'' of Takao's beyblades from now on will have ''specifically to counter Kai's ''gattai'' attacks''. The second is in Russia, when Takao is facing a minor Neoborg beyblader with a beyblade that's spinning ''very'' fast and Kai tells him to ''think about his match with Max'', at which point Takao brings Dragoon over the foe's beyblade and wins.
15	** Still, Kai's second Spinning Fire Bomb left its mark: Protoshell's bit protector ''exploded'' right after the end of the set, and Max has to repair it. But with what? Easy: with a bit protector from his mother that ''contains a Bit Beast''. Goodbye, Protoshell. Welcome, Draciel.
16	** In the third set, the battle is hard, and Kai isn't bothering with the Spinning Fire Bomb as Max spun Draciel left again. How does it end? Draciel, a Defence-based beyblade, apparently ''rings out Dranzer'', only for it to fall back in and use the fall to gain the strength to ''[[DifficultButAwesome ring out one of the strongest Defence-based beyblades at the time]]''.
17	* In season 1, the first match of the Asian Tournament against the Thai team due their gimmicks.
18	** In the first set, the Thai representative has an absurd extensible beyblade three times as powerful as Driger... So Rei used the georama-like field to ''drop a mountain on it''.
19	** In the second set, the Thai beyblade emitted enough heat that it was starting to ''melt Draciel''. Max and Draciel knocked it down as soon as it started to slow down.
20	*** The gimmick was so awesome that the DJ ''freaked out''. He ''never'' freaked out again, no matter what the bladers pulled.
21	** The final Thai representative was a Muay Thai practitioner, who literally ''kicked his beyblade into the field'' to make it spin faster, and Dragoon's Storm Attack was made useless by the field featuring a ''river'' that would be sucked in by the tornado and change the sand into mud, slowing it down. [[FromBadToWorse To make it worse]], the Thai beyblade could ''jump'' and use a GoombaStomp attack ''a dozen times in a row'' (thankfully it was nothing like Kai's). How to deal with this? Easy: ''jump in the river and generate the tornado mid-air''. There was no mud to slow Dragoon down (and the river's bed was in solid rock), and the tornado, made stronger by the water, threw the Thai beyblade out of the ring.
22	** And to complete the Bladebreakers' awesomeness... [[GracefulLoser The Thai team congratulated them for the win]].
23	** And at the same time of all the above, the White Tigers are facing the Brunei team in their first match. The Brunei team is among the favourites for victory. By the time the Bladebreakers show up to see the match, the Brunei team is already out of the competition and fighting to score at least a victory, and Mao proceeds to cut into pieces her opponent's beyblade.
24	* In episode 12 of season 1 we have a match between Rei and Takao: if he wins, Rei, who is depressed for his Bit Beast leaving him, will be free to leave the Bladebreakers and return to the White Tigers as Mao was trying to convince him to do, otherwise he'll have to stay with the Japanese team. So, Rei without his Bit Beast versus Takao and the Dragoon S ''with'' his Bit Beast that had already inflicted them a CurbStompBattle at the Japanese National Tournament. Rei, who Mao had reminded was practically undefeatable back at the village even before receiving his Bit Beast, ''wins''. He still stays with the Bladebreakers.
25	* Episode 13 has ''many''.
26	** One of the Mongolian team manages to win against Gao. Why is this awesome? Because even when not at full concentration, Gao is ridiculously strong, and surviving long enough for him to get distracted by food is an incredibly difficult task.
27	** Following Gao's loss due to distraction (as Mao had mentioned food), Mao ''has'' to win, but her foe, like Gao's, has a defensive beyblade covered in wool to NoSell a foe's attack. [[CurbStompBattle Mao cut it into pieces]].
28	** Captain battle: Rai versus Balto, the Mongolian captain. [[CurbStompBattle A Tiger Claw later, Balto's beyblade is shattered]], and most of the Bladebreakers are in full OhCrap mode at seeing Rai using Rei's attack.
29	** The Bladebreakers have to face the Indian team, whose gymmick is having beyblades with a ten centimeters-wide attack ring for superior stability.
30	*** Takao starts with his usual tornado, but the foe's attack ring pushes enough air upward to stay on the ground. Takao's reply to this? Storm Attack while physically hitting the enemy's beyblade. Cue ring-out.
31	*** Not to be topped, Max, who has a defence-type beyblade, rings out the foe's beyblade (and nearly hits him in the face), and sends the whole Indian team in full OhCrap mode ([[FunnyBackgroundEvent seen on the background]]).
32	*** Rei has to face their captain. What does he do? He attacks with such fierceness that the following happens in quick sequence: the field's reproduction of the Great Wall of China starts being damaged ''hard'' as soon as Driger the beyblade hits it; Driger the Bit Beast returns to his beyblade; Rai goes into OhCrap mode and [[TheStoic Kai]] looks in awe; Rei uses Tiger Claw, starting to demolish the Wall and sending his foe in OhCrap mode; the Tiger Claw doesn't fully connect with his foe's beyblade due to the latter running, so he demolishes ''the whole wall'' and scores a glancing hit that heavily damages the target and makes it stop spinning.
33	* An older entry mentioned that Kai's Dranzer S [[CurbStompBattle curbstomps]] multiple world class oppositions in Season 1. In episode 14 he finally fights against a member of the Maldives' team, and ''[[OneHitKO wins with one hit]]''. Granted, the Maldives' team was rather poor and had to scavenge parts to put together their beyblades, but given it was the semi-final of the Chinese Tournament, they weren't supposed to be easy opponents...
34	** Kai fought because, due to Takao oversleeping and [[ItMakesSenseInContext Rei trying to wake him up with a chilli pepper]], only Max and Kai were available to fight from the start, with a landslide blocking the road. This paves the way for some non-beyblade related awesomeness: Takao and Rei ''climb ten kilometers of mountain and cliff'' to reach the battlefield, and make it just in time. Oh, and Takao had Rei on his back for the final part of the climbing, as the latter had sprained his ankle to dodge a falling boulder.
35	** Also, the Maldives' team going as far as the semi-finals with embarrassingly inferior beyblades and no gymmick.
36	** Max's new beyblade, capable of {{No Sell}}ing the attacks of a semi-finals worthy opponent. Max promptly christened it Draciel [[MeaningfulName Shield]].
37	*** Then his opponent, using a subpar beyblade, ''nearly overpowers him''.
38	** Finally, Takao. When he arrives he's tired from the travel, but ''still'' wins his match, and was ''even faster than Kai''.
39	* The final of the Chinese Tournament.
40	** Max vs Gao, fought on a field with two areas: a large rotating one and a non-rotating smaller one placed above the rotating one.
41	*** In the first game, Max is being overpowered by Gao's superior strength, estimated as three times as strong as Rei's Tiger Claw ''without special attacks''. How does he deal with that? He brings the battle to the rotating area, where Draciel's superior stability gave Max a decisive advantage over Gao's [[CripplingOverspecialization powerful but unstable Galzzly]].
42	*** Before the second game, Gao smiles, and Rei goes in OhCrap mode. Why? [[LetsGetDangerous Gao just stopped thinking about food and is about to go all out]]. As anticipated by Rei (and possibly {{Foreshadowed}} by his OhCrap face as soon as he learns they'd fight in three-games sets and not single-game sets), Gao wins through sheer power with the first attack to connect ([[GoombaStomp from above, no less]]), and heavily damages the rotating area of the battlefield with the ones that ''doesn't''. Oh, and those attacks... Most of them weren't actually attacks, but Galzzly still bouncing after being shot in.
43	*** In the third game, Max plans to use the damaged rotating area to his advantage. News flash, Max: Gao's previous attack was a ''warm up'', and ''now'' he's going all-out. Gao's launcher ''explodes'', and the battlefield is quickly ''disintegrated'', burying Draciel under its remains. This feat, that left the Blader DJ speechless (so much that Gao had to call out to him) and apparently got Kiki to crap in his pants, wouldn't be equalled, let alone topped, until ''[[PersonOfMassDestruction Brooklyn]]''. One-nil for the White Tigers.
44	** The second set is Rei versus Mao:
45	*** The field is awesome enough to be mentioned separately: a very accurate reproduction of the central building of the ''[[BigFancyCastle Forbidden City]]'', in precious wood to boot. Too bad they wreck it...
46	*** Mao ''dominates'' the first game. Sure, Rei is unconsciously holding back, but in their match he did hand Kiki his ass while holding back, and Mao has even managed to [[GoombaStomp attack from above]]. Also, Rei making Driger dodge most of Mao's Bit Beast-powered attacks in the last part of the game ''before'' pulling out his own Bit Beast.
47	*** In the second game, Mao and ''Kai'' snap Rei out of his funk, and Rei wins with a single attack. Also for Mao: they hit at the same time, and for a moment it looks like Driger would stop spinning before Galux.
48	*** The third game is so awesome that, in-universe, their respective {{Instant Fanclub}}s start cheering both their beloved ''and'' the opponent. Highlights include Galux tearing down the Forbidden Mansion plastic with a GoombaStomp that Rei dodges and Driger connecting with a GoombaStomp while ''Galux is mid-air''. Then, before launching their decisive attacks, [[AnguishedDeclarationOfLove Mao declares her love for Rei]], [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments and Rei replies he knows and reciprocates]]. Still, we have to get a winner, and it's Rei, so 1-1.
49	** For the third set we have Takao versus Rai on a sandy-rocky battlefield meant to invoke the Gansu province:
50	*** The first game starts well for Takao, and Dragoon quickly brings Rai's beyblade Galeon to the edge of a sandy area that would slow down any beyblade unfortunate enough to end up in it. [[OneHitKO One Tiger Claw later, Dragoon is out of the ring]]. Bonus point for Rai using his ''actual'' special move to power up his Tiger Claw and make it ''ten times as powerful as Rei's''.
51	*** In the second game it's Rai who has the initial advantage, with Takao bringing Dragoon into the sandy area ''on purpose''. An error? Nope, he's just following Kai's advice to use the battlefield to his advantage, and when Galeon moves in for the finish, Dragoon's Storm Attack causes a sandstorm that defeats Galeon. This is when Rai stops insulting Rei and [[LetsGetDangerous actually concentrates on beating Takao]].
52	*** In the third game Rai whips out the [[ShockAndAwe Dark Lightning]], ''before'' summoning his Bit Beast. When the Bit Beast shows up, Dragoon gets thrown away ...but lands inside the ring. Takao replies in kind, and after the battle of the Bit Beasts, both beyblades lands out of the ring. It's a tie.
53	** To resolve the match, the organizers order an extra set of a single game, on a standard field as they have no special fields anymore. The White Tigers obviously send Rai back in, but the Bladebreakers deploy Rei:
54	*** Rei gets one even before going in for sheer courage and calming the Chief, who was worried due to Rai's frightening power.
55	*** As soon as the match starts, Rai attacks with the Bear Axe, ''Gao's attack''. While he whips out all the team's special moves, Mao explains that they are ancient attacks that have been taught to their tribe's best beybladers, and Rai has ''learnt them all''.
56	*** Another for Mao, as she's the only one of their team to [[CallingTheOldManOut stand up to Rai and his hate-filled madness]].
57	*** Still, it seems that Rai will win. But then Rei, after some encouragement, launches a Tiger Claw that turns Gao's destructive power back on it and rings out Galeon, also breaking through Rai's hate.
58	* Episode 19 gives us one of the few times Emily battles. The result? [[CurbStompBattle She utterly defeats Max]] [[OneHitKO with one hit]]. ''By ring out''. True, Max was distracted, but she still won with one hit.
59	** Also, this match drives home that the PPB MartialArtsAndCrafts approach is quite good. Why? Well, Emily's launcher is a tennis racquet, and she launches her beyblade like it's a tennis ball.
60	*** The worst part? ''She's not the most powerful of the All Stars, Michael is''. [[IAmNotLeftHanded Even when holding back by launching with his left hand]].
61	* Episode 20:
62	** [[BigDamnHeroes Kai literally jumping out of nowhere to save Max from getting crushed under a falling block of bulletproof crystal]].
63	** Steven of the PPB All Stars overpowering and defeating Rei.
64	* In episode 21, Antonio, a beginner beyblade, [[CurbStompBattle crushed]] ''Takao''. Sure, Kai, playing the TricksterMentor for Takao, had explained to him how, but he was still a beginner who could barely launch straight, and his beyblade was what appeared to be a Makendo, AKA one of the three oldest beyblades, that was so outclassed by Takao's Dragoon S that it wasn't even funny.
65	* The charity match of episode 22 has an interesting one for the billionaire [=McSneeze=] -or, in the original, the [[OurPresidentsAreDifferent President of the United States]]: thanks to his smarts and having a quick talk with the organizers, the Celebrity Team isn't completely outmatched by the representatives of three of the teams taking parts to the World Championship (namely Max for the Bladebreakers, Emily for the All Stars and Mario for the Brazilian team), but, thanks to the format of three rounds with the entire teams in it and their teamwork, give them a desperate run for their money and actually win the second round.
66	** Made more awesome because the teamwork of the celebrity team gave Emily a much needed slice of HumblePie, as her insistence on [[IWorkAlone working alone]] made her an easy target for her opponents. The way they did it was especially humiliating: first they lured her into accidentally hitting and knocking down Draciel, then, with her beyblade Trygator destabilized and slowed down by the impact, ganged up on her and made short work of it.
67	* Episode 23:
68	** Kai decides to be nice with Emily and give her a chance to get some data on him by fighting a member of the Mexican team. The CurbStompBattle not only ends up wrecking the beyblade ''and'' the launcher of his opponent, but is so fast the PPB computers couldn't tell how hard he attacked.
69	*** About the beyblade of Kai's victim... It had guitar strings around the attack ring to slow down the opponent and steal its spin. Kai replied with a [[GoombaStomp Spinning Fire Bomb]].
70	** Max has to deal with an opponent with a survival-type beyblade whose attack ring has blades and can actually damage Draciel. How does he deal with him? He has Draciel ''catches the blade on the weight disk'' and then throw the opponent away.
71	** In the final set Takao has to face an opponent with a beyblade powerful enough to shatter rocks whose [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Gatling Attack]] consists into [[GoombaStomp landing on the target's attack ring and stay there until it stops spinning or it has to do it again]]. Takao's new Dragoon F [[NoSell easily resisted the first attack]] and then used the Storm Attack to throw it on the Grand Canyon-like mountains of the field. Mountains that the Mexican beyblade hit so hard they ''crumbled on it'' (that's why we said it could shatter rocks).
72	* Episode 24 is full of these, mainly due the Equador team. So strong and unpredictable (partly to them [[FriendToAllLivingThings being in perfect symbiosis with nature]]) that Emily, normally sure of the All Stars' ultimate victory, admits they could defeat them.
73	** First set, Rei versus Sancho. Rei loses. ''[[CurbStompBattle Hard]]''. As in ''OneHitKO'' hard. Bonus point for this being the ''only'' time Rei is completely caught with his pants down in all three seasons.
74	** Second set, Max versus Fernando. Fernando's attack consists into ''making the opponent's beyblade bounce on itself and throw it in air until it exhausts the spinning''. Max only wins due [[ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext Fernando's beyblade losing interest in the game and leaving the field]].
75	** Decisive set, Takao versus Bartolomeo. Whose beyblade and style are based on the [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gal%C3%A1pagos_tortoise Galapagos tortoise]]. So the first attacks are [[NoSell deflected effortlessly]], and then Bartolomeo's beyblade suddenly attacks with overwhelming force (don't believe it? Just watch the males in the mating season, or try and attack them. They bite ''hard''). To add psychological pressure, Bartolomeo noticed that Takao is irritated by the story of how he received the beyblade from a tortoise, and ''[[CombatPragmatist continues talking about it to make him lose focus]]''. Thankfully Takao gets thrown back to his senses by his grandfather explaining him how Bartolomeo was distracting him on purpose, and wins by having Dragoon enter the seawater area of the beyblade stadium based on the Hawaiian beaches and unleashing a storm attack there, with the water-filled tornado throwing the foe's beyblade out of the ring (and Ryu back to his newest InstantFanclub).
76	** In the meantime, the All Stars are facing the Australian team. When the Bladebreakers come their stadium, Steve has just thrown his opponent's beyblade out of the stadium so fast ''it broke a wall''. Then Michael ''parachutes down from the sky'' to show off for his fans, and in his set the [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Cannonball Attack]] not only lands ''precisely on the top of the opponent's beyblade'', but is so powerful it ''disintegrates it''. A bit ruined by him showing off his Bit Beast to the Bladebreakers on purpose, but still formidable.
77	* Episode 25, Brazil vs. Bladebreakers:
78	** Salvador, the first Brazilian blader, has a samba gimmick... That includes ''gattais''. As in multiple ones in quick succession. Nearly won against Max, at least until [[BeatThemAtTheirOwnGame Draciel outdanced his opponent's beyblade]]...
79	** Rei vs. Maura, the second Brazilian blader. This one has multiple moments for Rei:
80	*** Maura has a fishing rod launcher to increase her beyblade's spinning speed (sort of what Takao did in his match with Hiruta), also making it incredibly fast. Rei has Driger outrun it ''without bit beast'', because he can.
81	*** Maura tries a DoppelgangerSpin. Rei casually sends Driger to hit the real target, even ''dodging one of the fakes''. Because he can.
82	*** Maura tries her ace in the hole: DoppelgangerSpin plus ''[[DeathFromAbove gattai]]''. Rei dodges by having Driger ''run the whole lap of the racetrack-like field and attack from behind'', and then throws the opponent's beyblade ''into Maura's hands''. Because he can. Remember, this is the period where Rei was hit hard by TheWorfEffect...
83	** The final match has Kai playing for the Bladebreakers against the strongest blader of Brazil. [[CurbStompBattle Do we really need to say what Kai did to the strongest blader of Brazil?]]
84	* The finals of the American tournament in episodes 26, 27 and 28:
85	** First set, Takao vs. Steve in a New York-inspired beystadium full of miniature skyscrapers:
86	*** Takao wins the first game with relative ease, using the environment and Dragoon's agility to dodge without Steve's Tryhorn being able to charge. We then get the second set... [[IAmNotLeftHanded And find out that Steve was holding back]] and, due his UsefulNotes/AmericanFootball gimmick, ''this is the best possible stadium for him, as the buildings are easier to dodge than opposing players''. He can even use the buildings to bounce and hit Dragoon with a ''[[GoombaStomp gattai]]'' ...and that's how he throws Dragoon out.
87	*** The third game is where they ''both'' pull all stops. After a failed attempt at matching Steve head-on, Takao (following Rei's suggestion) starts using Dragoon's ''still'' superior mobility to lead Tryhorn around and attack on a hit-and-run, with Steve getting mad and losing concentration. Then the PPB provides a new tactic, and Steve ''destroys the buildings of the stadium'': nowhere to hide, and now Tryhorn has the space for its Stampede Rush. Steve does just that, and Takao (following ''Kai''[='=]s suggestion this time) ''{{No Sell}}s it'' by the simple expedient of having Dragoon ''stay in contact without trying to resist'', thus surviving the attack and ''steal spin from Tryhorn''. At which point Steve finally loses it ...and exposes himself to Dragoon's usual tornado. One-nil for the Bladebreakers.
88	** Second set, Rei vs. Eddie in a low-gravity stadium:
89	*** One for the NASA for providing the stadium. Seriously, this is borderline ArtificialGravity...
90	*** One for the PPB, for actually realizing Eddie's launcher... In a ''basketball''. One for the anime's staff too for not making it look ridiculous, especially when compared to the more plausible ones of his teammates (Emily has it on a tennis racquet, Steve has a hi-tech one in a football, and Michael has it attached to his arm to simulate launching a baseball).
91	*** Another for the PPB, for putting together a plan that Rei, who had SeenItAll, could not invent his way out: a low friction environment where Driger has trouble moving and using his usual SpeedBlitz, Trypio has an attack ring that both grants it superior balance and sucks it to the dish (thus giving it the ability to move as usual even with low friction). The PPB brags of their ability of [[ToWinWithoutFighting put together tactics that guarantee victory]] ...and Eddie inflicting two [[CurbStompBattle Curb-Stomp Battles]] in a row to ''[[SeenItAll Rei]]'' proves that they're not just braggarts. 1-1.
92	** Final set, Max vs Michael in a baseball diamond-like stadium (with Michael as the pitcher):
93	*** First game. Trygle is an attack beyblade, Draciel a defence-type, meaning Max should have the advantage. Hence why Michael threw Trygle in with ''five times the power Max gave to Draciel''. It's called [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Cannonball Attack]], and it's enough to ''OneHitKO Draciel''.
94	*** Second game, after Takao gave Max a verbal kick in the pants. One that worked, as Max managed to ''overpower Michael and throw out Trygle''.
95	*** Third game. After running the data, the PPB team realizes that if nothing is done Max ''will'' overpower Michael again... So they do just that: [[IAmNotLeftHanded until now Michael has thrown with his off-hand, but now he will use his far stronger right]] (finding out this is enough to cause a MassOhCrap among the Blade Breakers). When launched right-handed, Trygle ''is'' more powerful than before, enough that Draciel starts being pushed back... Then Max, through sheer confidence, gets Draciel to ''overpower Trygle again'', knocking it down and [[ExplosiveInstrumentation making the PPB computers shut down and discharge electricity as it overpowered their sensors too]].
96	* Episode 30:
97	** Ralf is first introduced looking at the matches between the children on the ship and getting challenged because he looked at the matches as if they were beneath him. Next we see him, he has accepted the challenge ...and ''[[CurbStompBattle destroyed every single beyblade of the kids there]]''. Takao shows up just in time to see him [[OneHitKO one-shotting the last challenger]]...
98	** Takao decides to avenge the kids (even after Ralf explained that, technically, ''he'' is the victim: he was challenged rudely, and after he crushed the first four everyone else tried to avenge the defeat of the previous one). Ralf's reply? Call him out for his rudeness.
99	** Takao challenges Ralf ...and, even with the Bit Beast, gets at the wrong end of a CurbStompBattle (as Ralf has one of his own, and it's an aggressive one). That's right after winning the whole American tournament.
100	** And all of the above Ralf did it ''holding back'': he didn't use the bit beast until ''Takao'' brought out his own, and he wasn't using his custom launcher but a basic light launcher without even a grip, while Takao had a launcher with custom grip.
101	* Episode 49 is an all-timer for Ray, who showcases an astonishing amount of determination throughout his battle against Bryan.
102	** During the second session, despite his friends trying to get him to withdraw from the battle out of concern for him, Ray refuses to give up and keeps enduring Bryan's attacks until he gets the oppurtunity to knock Bryan's beyblade out of the dish. Tyson barely squeezes out a win by using Max's move to build momentum and ring him out. While Tyson fought hard, it left Dragoon battered showing how strong Max is.

Yet, after some training, it took ''Kai'' to stop him.
