** Really, the whole ordeal with the Louds over whether or not they truly deserve Lincoln's forgiveness and respect after all the times they've neglected him is so far the story's biggest debate.

* NightmareFuel: The narration doesn't shy away from showing how violent the fights can be when the fighters are really pissed off. After reaching his RageBreakingPoint, like with Lynn in chapter 4 or [[spoiler:Chandler]] in chapter 10, Lincoln basically becomes an 11-years-old version of TheUnfettered. And the injuries he intended to give Lynn, and those he actually gave to [[spoiler:Chandler]], are rather severe compared to what an average kid can do. Even a 6-years-old like Lana can be scary when she gets mad. In chapter 8, in a fit of mad rage, she nearly ''strangled'' her twin sister after the latter struck a personal nerve by saying that Lana would not have cared if Lincoln got eaten by the gator that attacked him earlier in the story, something that gave Lana nightmares.

*** It's...a bit weird but the fact that even when he's beyond upset with them, Lincoln finds the idea of his parents going to jail and his family possibly breaking up utterly horrifying and despite the fact that he has every right to call the police on his parents (something that is starting to become a bit of a cliche for "No Such Luck" DeconstructionFic stories), he doesn't go through with it for the family's sake, which implies that Lincoln, deep down still wants to forgive his family despite all that crap he's been through. *** It's...a bit weird but the fact that even when he's beyond upset with them, Lincoln finds the idea of his parents going to jail and his family possibly breaking up utterly horrifying and despite the fact that he has every right to call the police on his parents (something that is starting to become a bit of a cliche for "No Such Luck" DeconstructionFic stories), he doesn't go through with it for the family's sake is heartwarming on both his part and the author's (the author has stated outright that he wanted to do a story where the Louds fixed their problems without police intervention).
