Some, upon hearing that, instantly theorize some of the animosity would've been over Creed. Pre-Inversion, he & Mystique were partners on many occasions -they rule Madripoor together. They also had an off-and-on sexual history which resulted in a son. Post-Inversion, he seemed to have a ShipTease with Monet, who becomes his MoralityChain when his Inversion starts to wane.

Or it's keeping a plot point that made zero sense to begin with and will keep asking readers to care about a mass murderer.
* DracoInLeatherPants: Between the bent of the 2014 ''Magneto'' solo series and now his elevation in ''Uncanny'', it's quite clear Marvel is angling to capitalize on years of this to make him the new [[WolverinePublicity Wolverine]].
