* FairForItsDay: Silvio is obviously of the opinion that American Indians feeling outrage over sports names like the Washington Redskins (an example he specifically cites) amounts to PoliticalOvercorrectness. Back in the early 2000s, when the show first aired, it is possible that not many people besides American Indians themselves shared in that outrage. Fast forward to the 2020s, where Washington's football team is now named the Commanders and Cleveland's baseball team is now named the Guardians. It seems society in the current day has reached a consensus that those kinds of sports names are offensive, even allowing for the possible holdout with the Atlanta Braves. The episode in hindsight may merit some slack on account of having been produced over two decades age and reflecting ValuesDissonance.

* FanPreferredCutContent: Many fans feel the episode would have been better had the creators been able to go with the original plan where Paulie would be the one leading the charge against the demonstrators instead of Silvio.

* HarsherInHindsight: Rudy Giuliani is held up as a counter to anyone who tries to insult Italians by bringing up John Gotti. At the time he was riding high as "America's mayor" in the wake of the September 11th attacks, but his reputation would slowly fall to tatters with his support of Donald Trump and attempts to overturn the 2020 election, ultimately losing his law license and being targeted in several criminal probes, so that probably wouldn't be a good idea anymore.

* HilariousInHindsight: During Tony's rant on the way home from Doug Smith's, he bemoans the loss of men like what he imagines Creator/GaryCooper to be--"the strong, silent type"--and contemptuously derides modern-day protest culture, including the LGBT movement, or "the gays," as Tony refers to them. Christopher, as usual a past master at [[ComicallyMissingThePoint completely misunderstanding]], inquires, "He was gay, Gary Cooper?" much to Tony's agonized frustration. Funny scene, but it becomes even funnier when you know that several accounts insist that [[http://filmstarfacts.com/2015/06/13/gary-cooper-the-ultimate-movie-star/ Cooper was, in fact, bisexual in real life and reportedly had multiple affairs with other men]]. Just imagine if one of the guys had ''that'' particular bit of trivia on hand...

** Silvio would later get even more to be upset about, when Columbus Day was made a simultaneous holiday with Indigenous Peoples' Day in 2021.
