You have an UnluckyEverydude protagonist who gets in a lot of [[HilarityEnsues wacky hijinx]] with a NaiveEveryGirl and her JerkWithAHeartOfGold female friend. Much of the major events in the plot are also very by the book, like the main male protagonist having a girl he befriended long ago suddenly start to pop up again.
