* NarmCharm: In "Joseph's Mom!", it sounds funny that [[spoiler:Joseph's mother didn't die and replaced herself with a fake skeleton, but it's also shown that she [[AbusiveParents abandoned her own son]], as well as the DownerEnding, where it's shown Joseph is in denial of this and thinks she's coming home, and then just silently sits on the couch]].

** Bowser Junior and Joseph coming down with the flu (Jeffy not being sick) in "Jeffy and Junior Sneak to Disney World!" can come off this way, especially after the entire SML crew (with the exception of Pablo) tested positive for COVID-19 in November of the same year. What's more ironic is that Cody is the one that stayed home in the video and not Disney World.

* InformedWrongness: Jeffy's RunningGag of constantly throwing his plates of [[DoesNotLikeSpam green beans]] on the ground is meant to make him look like a comically annoying SpoiledBrat. Not to say that he ''isn't'' one, but the fact that Mario/Marvin feeds him almost ''nothing but'' green beans makes it kind of hard to disagree with Jeffy, since there are tons of other healthy foods that Mario/Marvin can feed him than just green beans every day (Heck, it's even inplied that he actually likes carrots, which are healthy). Rosalina/Rose even suggested giving Jeffy other healthy things to eat, bur Mario/Marvin insisted on just making him eat green beans specifically, making Mario/Marvin look [[UnintentionallyUnsympathetic kind of hard to root for in the process]].

* UnexpectedCharacter: "Cody Plays Tennis!" involves Cody wanting to compete in a tennis competition to become a playable character in ''VideoGame/MarioTennisAces''. His opponent is '''Mr. Goodman''', who ''isn't even a Mario-series character!''

*** Website/YouTube would end up later on age-restricting the video, [[BannedEpisode resulting in Logan deleting the video]], luckily, Dabhdude reuploaded the video under his SML Reuploaded channel.

* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: Logan will tell you that his videos [[BlatantLies are not meant for children]], although the thumbnails, video titles, descriptions, the "SML Questions" at the end of each video, the merchandise, and overall branding suggest otherwise, yet they also contain mild (sometimes strong) swearing, sexual references, extreme use of violence (at times), crude humor (mostly BlackComedy), and drugs and alcohol references, among other content that can easily be identified as non-kid-friendly. [[SubvertedTrope Although this has dwindled as of the 2017 Adpocalypse]], [[DoubleSubverted it came back sometime around the switch to the puppet characters in 2021]]. Despite this, a lot of kids still watch the videos on the channel, [[JustHereForGodzilla especially Jeffy videos]]. In fact, some episodes wound up on the Website/YouTube Kids app, most notably "Jeffy Goes To The Zoo!", which portrayed the shooting of Harambe, "Jeffy's Tantrum!", which made British news when a child tried to imitate a scene in it, and "Bowser Junior Goes To Disney World!", which contains a scene of Mickey Mouse doing drugs and cursing in the hotel room Junior and his friends are staying in.

Junior and [[LethallyStupid Jeffy]] get one and it ends up ''reduced to ash'' by the next morning. Junior thinks that he's going to fail, [[spoiler:but Jackie Chu gives him the highest grade instead. The reason why is because all the baby dolls were girls, so Jackie Chu passes him because [[BrickJoke they did what he told the class to do earlier in the video]]; [[PoliticallyIncorrectHero kill the female babies.]] Cody and Joseph are thrilled by this and make an excuse that they didn't know the doll was a girl, and Jackie Chu agrees to give them a B. He decides to check the camera [[ItMakesSenseInContext he installed into the dolls]]. He sees a video on his computer, and it's revealed that [[OnlySaneMan Cody]] '''[[{{Squick}} had sex with his baby]]''']]. This video didn't cross the line as much as it obliterated it.
** Then there's "[=SuperPowers=]", where Cody, a child, gains a superpower that lets him shapeshift, [[spoiler:and uses it to shapeshift into Chef Pee Pee and [[HoYay have sex with Bowser]]]]. Cody even says that's he shapeshifted into an adult, so it's technically legal.
** "The Call of Duty Blackout" ends with Black Yoshi [[MoralEventHorizon shooting]] [[WouldHurtAChild a child]] [[DisproportionateRetribution just because he wanted his Call of Duty game]]. And his father, who happens to be Brooklyn T. Guy, is happy that he's dead since he won't have to pay child support anymore.
** The entire gist of "Bowser Junior's Playtime!" and it's sequels, involving Junior and his friends playing House degrading into a roleplay session about an extremely unhealthy family relationship.
** In "Goldilocks!" When it's Junior, Penelope and Josephs turn in the play, it immediately delves into a divorce situation calling back to the "Playtime" series and it's disturbing yet gut-bustingly realistic portrayal of unhealthy family relationships.
** From "Stuck", Chef Pee Pee getting raped by Cody's mom, all while he's calling rape? Disheartening. Junior, Joseph, and Cody being [[PrimalScene directly underneath them]] while having [[UnusuallyUninterestingSight nothing reactions]], as if it were an everyday occurrence? Now it's too ridiculous to take seriously.
** "The Dance Marathon" reveals that the house originally belonged to Lee Harvey Oswald. Yup, the SML house in-universe belonged to the guy who ''assassinated [=JFK=].'' At first it's unnerving, but it gets hillariously offensive when Lee's plan was made obvious by making the house the main operating base for his new buisness "I'm Gonna Shoot the President In The Head Inc.".
** How does Jeffy get back at Joseph for framing him in "Jeffy Gets Framed"? He pays Brooklyn Guy to pretend to be his abusive mother making a HeelFaceTurn, and then ''[[YankTheDogsChain kills her right in front of the poor boy's eyes.]]'' It manages to be both BlackComedy and a warning sign reading to [[BewareTheSillyOnes never mess with Jeffy]].

** How does Jeffy get back at Joseph for framing him in "Jeffy Gets Framed"? He pays Brooklyn Guy to pretend to be his abusive mother making a HeelFaceTurn, and then ''[[YankTheDogsChain kill her right in front of Joeseph's eyes.]]'' It manages to be both BlackComedy and a warning sign reading to [[BewareTheSillyOnes never fuck with Jeffy]].

** "Rosalina's Ex-Boyfriend" is hailed as one of the sweeter videos involving Mario and Rosalina as it shows how much they care for each other; the former willing to fight the titular Ex-Boyfriend (D-Money) despite being outclassed and the latter showing nothing but concern for him after getting rocked repeatedly. D-Money himself came to respect Mario for always getting back up and decided to leave them alone. Moreover, it's believable that someone would have one failed relationship that didn't work out before ultimately settling down with someone else. Nowadays, Mario is in an AwfulWeddedLife with Rosalina, largely due to her bringing several of her ''other'' exes in their presence, greatly implying an unfaithful and (for lack of a better word) slutty side to her. Not helping is some of the said ex's trying to win her back.

** The entirety of "Cody's Hot Dog Restaurant!" could be considered this. Cody and Timmy opens up a restaurant called Sloppy Toppy involving deep throating hot dogs and the foods they sell pretty much tells you what to expect from their restaurant, considering [[DepravedHomosexual Cody's and Timmy's natures]].
*** It is likely implied Brooklyn Guy unknowingly ''ate'' cum, since Timmy mentioned they were out of mayo and used something else and Brooklyn mentioned that the mayonnaise tasted very salty.

* The entirety of "Cody's Hot Dog Restaurant!" could be considered this. Cody and Timmy opens up a restaurant called Sloppy Toppy involving deep throating hot dogs and the foods they sell pretty much tells you what to expect from their restaurant, considering [[DepravedHomosexual Cody's and Timmy's natures]].

The fact that Logan subtly took shots at them once does not help.
