** Poor, poor [[Anime/{{Pokemon}} Lapis Lazuli]]. Her entire backstory has been one BreakTheCutie moment after another: being overshadowed by her author's [[SelfInsertFic self-insert]] in her homefic, having said homefic be destroyed [[OldShame by her own author]], ending up in the PPC Headquarters completely alone without anyone to console her, making friends with one of the agents who discovered her [[spoiler:only to be powerless to stop him [[DeathByOriginStory being killed while on Duty]]]], becoming an active agent years ahead of time [[spoiler:only to ''[[AnArmAndALeg lose her right hand]]'' to a god-modding Suvian]], being put down despite her ambition to prevent such tragedies from happening again, [[TookALevelInJerkass becoming]] a JerkassWoobie as a result... the list goes on and on. Luckily, she was eventually [[ThrowTheDogABone given a much-needed lucky break]] when she was able to make amends with one of the agents who was at odds with her over the years, and it currently looks as though [[EarnYourHappyEnding things will turn out better for her in the future.]]

** Some bad-fic characters deserve what they get (being murderers for example), whilst others seem to have only committed the crime of being 'too far from canon' or being badly written. Taken entirely in-universe and the PPC can come across as a group that simply kills who they consider undesirable purely for not meeting their own subjective criteria.

** Considering how often the stories use typos in fics as plot elements or other points of criticism, it tends to make actual typos in any of the stories feel hypocritical at best.
** Speaking of hypocrisy, it can also feel like the writers of PPC are combatting overpowered fanfiction characters using their own set of overpowered characters.
** Arguably, it can feel a little like the writers of PPC have created a group of self insert characters for the sake of killing/'fixing' the ones that they specifically do not like.

** When one of the characters has a 'rape jar' and the other characters can only roll their eyes, sigh comedically, and tut, then you're bound to fall into this every so often.

* MoralMyopia: If the PPC agents kill someone perceived as a Mary Sue, there is generally little hesitation in killing them. This is considered the correct course of action by most of the stories, and whilst they may bring up the issue of murder, it continues to be a primary way of dealing with them.

* RevengeFic: The stories of this community can oftentimes pass into becoming this, for the fics they critique naturally. If a character is percieved as a Mary Sue or similar, there is little hesitation in killing them.

** It's up to the organisation and its agents as to when a fanfiction has breeched canon 'too many times'. The belief that a fanfiction should cling to canon as much as possible is rarely questioned.
** Despite being conscious, the agents do not tend to regard certain characters as people and kill them with little or no hesitation.
** What ships are 'acceptable'? The ones the agents think are acceptable, of course.

** Well, up to you whether it crosses back into funny: the [[BlackComedyRape Rape Jar]]. Basically, Laburnum and Foxglove are punished with a jar similar to a SwearJar for using rape as a punishment a few too many times.

** Due to the large number of stories involved within the community, sometimes the PPC stories themselves aren't much better than some of the fics that have been critiqued.
