* MoralEventHorizon: While the episode doesn't outright confirm it, thanks to WordOfGod statements it's widespread {{Fanon}} that Scootaloo is physically handicapped and will never be able to fly properly. So when Diamond Tiara mocks her for it... yeah let's say for some fans she is never coming back from that.

** The episode in general. On one side of the coin, we have fans who are happy Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo got some bonding throughout the episode, and like [[AnAesop the moral]] [[BeYourself of the story]]. On the other side, we have fans who claim what made some episodes about the [=CMC=] enjoyable is gone, the episode was rushed, and the plot involving Scootaloo's flying issues didn't live up to its full potential. It was mostly beloved by the critics though, as you can see from [[WebVideo/MLPAnalysis Digibrony's and Bronycurious's]] reviews.

*** What hurts is that the entire final scene was a blatant tease, including zooming in on Scootaloo's flank, only to suddenly reveal that she's learned ''nothing'' by remarking about trying to get a cutie mark in flag carrying (much like Apple Bloom did about potion brewing ''mere moments'' after being cured of the Cutie Pox). And yet everyone still thinks they will eventually get their cutie marks in the series, when it's obvious that the writers don't want them to... it's been four seasons and they're still no farther ahead than ''when they first met''. Then again, they burst into laughter rather than getting sad again, so they could just be sharing a moment.

** Some people were also disappointed with the lack of a scene for Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon getting punished or scolded for what they did to Scootaloo.
