**This seems to have changed in later chapters, though, as her more likable traits have come to light and her relationships with Sengoku and Sakura has been given some depth. In-universe, she's even become a good friend to Hori and her gang. She still has a die-hard hatedom, but then again, who doesn't?

Not a YMMV trope.

* LivingADoubleLife: Many female fans dislike and/or cannot understand Hori's reasons for keeping her two lives separate. It seems to be a largely irrational impulse to keep her "cool and beautiful" school image separate from her housewife-in-training life taking care of her brother. Though one can argue that it maybe because she doesn't want to burden her friends if they found out about her housewife-in-training life.

* [[WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForLittleGirls What Do You Mean It's Not For Girls?]]: The series could easily fit in a shoujo magazine, but it's published in a shounen one instead.

* UnnecessaryMakeover: [[spoiler: Miyamura eventually cuts his shoulder-length hair into a shorter, more boyish do. He says it's because he wants to fit the image of what Hori's boyfriend should look like and avoid her being teased because of his meek looks, with several people commenting that the new haircut looks much better on him.]] The fans tend to disagree, stating that the change was unnecessary and looked better beforehand. Funnily enough, ''in-universe'', Hori has a similar reaction to most fans and wants [[spoiler: Miyamura to let his hair grow again]].

* WhatAnIdiot: Miyamura's former middle school class-mates/bullies think it's a good idea to continue where they left off -- right in front of Hori. They do so because they think they can drive him into further isolation by getting her away from him. It doesn't end well for them.
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
For one, it isn\'t YMMV. Secondly, the last sentence contradicts the entire trope.

* FlatCharacter: Yuki seems to only exist to show that Hori has a friend who is a [[TheBechdelTest girl.]] Her only real defining traits are: 1) being generally perky, 2) having a huge crush on Miyamura (seen outside school) without realizing it's him, and 3) her gender. However, her HiddenDepths in chapter 36 help alleviate this.

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: In chapter 37, Souta is worried that he'll lose Hori to Miyamura. Miyamura reassures him that his "big sister" will always belong to him, but asks to have "Kyouko" in return. Miyamura then says that he will be Souta's 'big brother," to which Souta agrees to both.
