** Ally and Tess bond with each other well in spite of being in a LoveTriangle with Hunter, getting especially closer to each other in [[spoiler:episodes 6 and 7]], becoming TrueCompanions.
** The friendship trio between the nice girls - Lake, Maggy, Rosa Maria and later on Riya - is also quite affectionate at times.

** Tess choosing to [[spoiler:keep quiet about the other alliances teaming up against her friendship trio and, rather than try to convince someone to switch their votes, accepting her potentially incoming elimination and choosing to GoOutWithASmile]] is portrayed as a good choice since it gives her moments of happiness with her friends, but it can be seen as inconsiderate to her friends as [[spoiler:her elimination]] even further lowers their chances of staying in the game. It may come off as even more inconsiderate towards Ally, who was also a potential target for elimination at the time.

It may also come off as prioritizing the strategy over the girls' feelings, which some viewers might agree with while others might view as inconsiderate as well.

** Why did Hunter tell Ally and Tess to wait for his answer regarding the LoveTriangle until after the competition? Was it selfish because he wanted to avoid the choice completely, seeing as there's never a guarantee that contestants will keep in touch after the competition? Was it selfish because he wanted to entertain the idea of playing around with both girls before he potentially commits to any of them? Or was it empathetic because he didn't want to hurt any of the girls with rejection and wanted to postpone the pain as much as possible? Was it because he believed it should be dealt with privately rather than publicly on a reality TV show? Was it a mix of being strategic and emphatetic, not wanting the rejected girl to turn against him and the girl he chose (assuming he chose one)? Did he want to give his friend group more time to bond so that they would be TrueCompanions by the time of his answer, resulting in them not minding any outcome that much? Or a combination of all of the above?

** Hunter. He’s either a nice, friendly guy who is a good friend to Ally and Tess, or a CreatorsPet with a bland personality who shouldn’t have gotten two girls to like him or have as much luck earning merge immunity as he has. There’s also the way he handles the love triangle around him, with some people claiming he’s merely socially awkward and handling it the best he can while taking care of the two girls such as keeping Tess’s pills before they were destroyed. Others claim him to be insensitive and undeserving of either girl’s love, due to apparently brushing off their asking for an answer with “not til after the competition” and claiming him stealing Tess’s pills, even with apparently good intentions, was extremely creepy and a violation of her privacy. Pre-merge eps made the theory that he was a secret antagonist who was just using Ally and Tess’s crushes on him to his advantage we’re prevalent, though this has died down post Episode 7.
** Rosa Maria. She has detractors critizing her for being bland and uninteresting in comparison to the rest and dislike how far she's getting when compared to those who were eliminated before her. Her fans, however, admire how caring and thoughtful she is to everyone around her and her role of being TheHeart to Riya, Maggy, and Lake.

While it still doesn't guarantee the LoveTriangle trio staying in the game (especially if they chose to vote for Rosa Maria since, as the following episode reveals, she already had immunity totem by this point), it would've at least given them a 50-50 chance during a tie-breaker for things to turn out positively for them, which some could argue would've still been better than accepting the outcome and doing nothing.]]

On the other hand, some could argue that even if Tess was fine with leaving the show with a smile, it was a selfish decision as it further worsened Ally and Hunter's chances to stay in the game. Some could also say that while convincing the girls' trio and Aiden to vote for anyone else would've been impossible, they still had the option to try to convince James (who likely didn't stick with his alliance anyway and voted for Ally instead of Tess) to vote with them for either Riya or Rosa Maria (as James likely wouldn't have wanted to vote for Lake to avoid angering Aiden), thus causing a tie.

* BrokenBase: [[spoiler:Was Tess's decision to keep quiet about the trio of Lake, Rosa Maria, and Riya teaming up with James and Aiden to vote off either her or Ally a correct one? On one hand, the LoveTriangle trio had disadvantage in numbers with the other 5 contestants teaming up against them. At least they didn't have to lose dignity begging anyone to join their side and didn't make deals with potentially drastic consequences with anyone. Furthermore, some clain doing any of that would've failed since Aiden prefers to side with Lake's trio and James followed suit. Avoiding doing so also allowed Tess, a girl who suffers from depression, to spend her last moments on the show happily with her friends instead. ** Is James's attraction to Aiden genuine? After all, during their first ever interaction, Aiden did tell him that Jake and Tom from last season were popular because of being a gay couple. James could therefore just be faking his interest in Aiden to gain popularity and followers on his [=TikTok=]. However, a lot of his moments with Aiden later on seem genuine, especially him saving Aiden from elimination. Or could both be true in a way? Could it be that James started pretending to have interest in Aiden, but developed true romantic feelings towards him as time went on?
** As can be seen starting with [[spoiler:Episode 7]], Lake has a tendency to go too far once she feels the freedom to do anything. * OneTrueThreesome: Hunter, Tess, and Ally, who all quickly bond with each other. In fact, all of the combinations (Hunter x Tess, Hunter x Ally, Tess x Ally) seemed to be getting ShipTease at one point or the other. The entire trio remained as TrueCompanions in spite of the initial LoveTriangle dynamics.
