* NightmareFuel: Poirot's demeanor when he reveals the identities of Linnet's murderers is positively ''enraged'' - he even wields a '''gun''' during this moment. Justified since [[spoiler:Simon and Jackie]] killed Poirot's best friend Bouc only moments earlier.

* {{Narm}}: Poirot's DarkAndTroubledPast, where his iconic mustache is revealed to be covering scars he suffered in World War I, is widely mocked for being far too absurd a concept for viewers to take seriously, not helped in the least by how it's plot which BookEnds the film. It's even sillier if you [[ArtisticLicenseBiology even know the slightest about how scar tissue works]], because it shouldn't even be possible for him to ''grow'' a mustache with the scars on his face.

** Gal Gadot's portrayal of the classy socialite Linnet Doyle [[SarcasmMode reaches its apex]] with the immortal line "Enough sham-pain to feel denial!"

* MemeticMutation: Creator/GalGadot's reading of "Enough champagne...to fill the Nile!" was widely mocked. It's often mashed together with lines from other movies she's been in, creating: "[[Film/JusticeLeague2017 Kal-El]]! [[Film/WonderWoman1984 I need you to give me]] enough champagne to fill the Nile!"

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Is Jackie [[spoiler: a cold blooded murderer who was carefully planned out the deaths of three people and set up her lover to marry her best friend JUST to kill the woman and claim her money? Or is she a fragile woman slowly losing her mind and desperately trying to keep things from falling apart?]]
** When Jackie and Linnet talk and she begins to cry is she truly coming to question her decision to [[spoiler: kill Linnet? Or were they crocodile tears?]]
** Was Simon and Jackie's fight [[spoiler: all staged to ensure NO ONE linked them? Or was it Simon revealing his true feelings for the woman that forced him to sleep with another woman and killer her JUST to gain more money?]]
** Were Jackie and Simon [[spoiler: truly in love or was Simon using Jackie just as he had used Linnet and was planning on abandoning her once he was rich and had no more need of her?]]
** Who is the real Linnet? Is she the vain and self-centered woman so many of her "friends" think she is? Or are they allowing their own misfortunes color their views of someone who just happened to be there at the time?

* JerkassHasAPoint: Bouc's mother mocks the idea of love, stating that it isn't kind and sweet. By the end of the film love has driven one couple to fake a marriage just to murder a woman while having the man in another couple commit theft and lie about a murder.

Removed per cleanup thread.

* HarsherInHindsight:
** The film was shot in 2019, two years before Creator/ArmieHammer's abuse and cannibalistic fantasies allegations blew up in early 2021. [[spoiler:This makes his reveal as one of the killers that much more unsettling (especially considering how the film depicts different unhealthy relationships and twisted forms of love).]]
** Dr. Windlesham talks about his desire to provide people in poorer countries with access to modern medicine, which becomes ironic considering that Creator/RussellBrand drew controversy for his stance regarding the pandemic, such as [[https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/celebrity-life/russell-brand-slammed-for-sharing-ways-to-avoid-covid-safety-measures/news-story/5b23183ccaf4a991bda7c7bfdd49f660 suggesting]] ways for people to avoid COVID safety measures in order to see his stand-up shows.
* HilariousInHindsight: Linnet fancies herself as UsefulNotes/{{Cleopatra|VII}} just before the cruise on the Nile starts, including putting a headdress and a long mantle on. Creator/GalGadot had since been cast by Creator/{{Paramount}} in a {{biopic}} about the queen herself, in the main role (the announcement came over a year after filming of ''Death on the Nile'' was completed), though that has since gone into DevelopmentHell.
