This would mean that ''Dark Phoenix'' likely '''won't''' get any significant follow-up and that this will be the end of the line for these versions of the characters, instead of being the potential start of a new trilogy like originally planned; as such, several fans aren't interested in the story knowing that it'll be a one-off.

If you thought she was bad in ''X-Men: The Last Stand'' she is arguably more terrifying here just due to the fact of how visibly obvious the Phoenix is corrupting her and from the smile she has theirs a good chance a small part of Jean is ''enjoying it''.
