* AluminumChristmasTrees: The episode "Blue Tater" revolves around a blue potato that was said to be cursed with bad luck. Blue potatoes actually do exist. However, they first appeared in 2003, not as far back as many generations, and they don't give bad luck either.

If it had a good sized fanbase and I’d seen as underrated then it doesn’t especially qualify for so okay it’s average

* SoOkayItsAverage: Big City Greens has a decent-sized fandom and is considered an underrated show by many but there are those who see the series as decent but still the weakest of Disney Channel's five main series. This can probably be attributed to its more formulaic and episodic structure compared to Disney's other shows, as well as its larger focus on comedy.

It still doesn’t explain in full detail why he’s supposed to be sympathetic, not just because he’s the protagonist.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Cricket falls under this on occasion. While whether we're supposed to like him is debatable, the writers have made it very clear that Cricket is the main character of the series and that we're supposed to root for him. However, given how loud, obnoxious and bratty he could be at times, it can be difficult to truly feel sorry for him whenever he gets screwed over. A good example would be in the ChristmasEpisode, where, despite the fact that he's been hit with the JerkassBall, we're still supposed to sympathize and root for him.

* ComedyGhetto: Many discussions regarding Disney Channel's animated lineup during the early 2020s more often than not completely left out Big City Greens in favor of WesternAnimation/Amphibia and WesternAnimation/TheOwlHouse, due to the former show's more comedic and episodic structure clashing heavily with the latter shows' more darker and lore-driven stories. Ironically, [=BCG=] has received far more airtime and ratings than the latter shows combined.

* RonTheDeathEater: A minor case with Cricket. While he's not a very perfect character and can be a bit of an annoying BrattyHalfPint at times, he means well and is, for the most part, a CheerfulChild who means well and is very curious about the world around him. His detractors, on the other hand, often tend to ignore his redeeming qualities and ramp up his BrattyHalfPint tendencies by painting him as a bad-tempered SpoiledBrat who throws fits whenever he doesn't get what he wants, acting like an AnnoyingYoungerSibling towards Tilly, treating his parents and grandma like crap, etc, etc.

* FandomRivalry: A pretty intense although largely one-sided example with WesternAnimation/TheOwlHouse, due to fans of the latter show developing a growing bitterness over [=BCG=] becoming AdoredByTheNetwork. The rivalry grew tenfold when [=TOH=] got cancelled after three seasons (with the third season in particular being cut down from the show's usual 10-20 episode format to just three 44-minute specials), leading many to go as far as to Misblamed unfairly accuse [=BCG=] of being the sole reason for [=TOH=]s cancellation. There's a similar one-sided rivalry with WesternAnimation/Amphibia, but it's nowhere near as intense.

* DesignatedHero: It isn't uncommon for Cricket's detractors to label him as such, due to his shenanigans causing too many problems for a lot of people (especially Bill and Gloria). * DiagnosedByTheAudience: Cricket is widely accepted as being neurodivergent (either autistic or ADHD) by a good portion of the fanbase. A lot of this stems from his occasional literal mindedness, his inability to sit still, his impulsiveness, and his preference to stick to his routines.

** "Virtually Christmas" in particular was praised for its gorgeous usage of CGI. From the beautifully rendered soft textures, to the almost atmospheric lighting, to the unique stop motion-esque animation, it's no wonder why the episode took a while to develop.

Diagnosed By The Audience is specifically an Audience Reaction — there needs to be a specific thing that the fanbase thinks about the character. As is it's just listing character traits

* DiagnosedByTheAudience: In "Quiet Please", Cricket's short attention span, as well as his difficulties at staying quiet, were likely considered hints of ADHD.
