** The whole "Inverted Mickey" thing is hard to take seriously or even see as frightening because the use of "photo negative" imagery is a very cliched trope in web-based horror.

* CommonKnowledge: Almost every single fanwork related to this pasta (including the Website/KnowYourMeme page) claims that this story takes place at the real-life Treasure Island resort in the Bahamas. Treasure Island is mentioned, but the story itself actually takes place at a fictional abandoned resort called Mowgli's Palace, located in North Carolina. What makes this so glaring is that this fact is mentioned less than half a page into the pasta.

** The 'thick, chunky yellow blood' line in '"Abandoned by Disney" sounds pretty cheesy and immersion-breaking the first time around. It takes on a whole new meaning once you read "A Few Suggestions" and realise that it's probably vomit.

*** There's also the question of whether [[spoiler:Inverted Mickey]] was ever really a costume possessing a human, or simply a delusional [[spoiler:Corruptus]] that ''thought'' it was human stuck in their costume and [[TomatoInTheMirror gradually begins to realize that it is not.]]

* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: "A Few Suggestions" has some levity, in spite of the anomalous mascot causing problems.
** While what it decides to do in response is decidedly unfunny to everyone but itself, the possessed mascot complains about Frank cheating at solitaire and sudoku, both of which are traditionally ''one''-player games.
** Several suggestions are actually requests to get more suggestion cards. One suggestion shows gratitude for a restock of suggestion cards, only for the ''very next suggestion'' to say they're out of cards again. It's implied the reason they keep running out is because the mascot takes them to write its own suggestions and submits them by stuffing the cards in the money slots of vending machines.

** The writer apparently didn't know Disney would never dream of calling their costumed characters mascots. As any Disney nerd worth their salt knows they're [[InsistentTerminology cast members]]. It's a small detail, but one that can break willing suspension of disbelief right before TheReveal. Later addressed in "Corruptus" where he admits this mistake and chalks it up to fear.

* FridgeBrilliance The carving "ABANDONED BY GOD" in Mowgli's Palace takes on a whole new meaning if you know that ''Disney/TheJungleBook'' was the last movie Walt Disney worked on. Wouldn't you feel abandoned if you were a fictional character whose original creator died?
