Removed YMMV trope.

* DifficultySpike: From the 4th Cup onward in the World Tour the game stops holding your hand. The track Pitch Black in particular gives you a taste of what's to come with several sharp turns close to each other and if you're aiming for all Super Trophies getting every Token is a lesson in memorization and patience as they are on said sharp turns that are also going upwards or downwards which forces you to be in the right position to get them.

** One of the music tracks in the game is a remix of one in Top Gear (the 1992 video game, not the TV show). No coincidence, since both games were composed by Barry Leitch.

Collecting them all as well as coming in first will grant them a "Super Trophy" and contribute to unlocking extra events and vehicles. These reappear in Tournament mode, though collecting them all will grant the player a nitro boost instead.

!!This game features examples of:
* AwesomeButImpractical: Cars with high top speed might be cool, but they also have terrible fuel usage and mediocre handling, meaning that they just aren't worth using on the more technical circuits.
* CoolCar: Many of them, to be exact, although there are also some... strange choices.
* EenieMeenieMinyMoai: Easter Island of course.
* HailfirePeaks: Jormungandr, located in Iceland which is notorious for having active volcanoes in an otherwise cold place.
** Also Getting Cold in Brighton Beach which combines PalmtreePanic with snow and rainfall.
* LethalLavaLand:
* PalmtreePanic: Brighton Beach, French Polynesia and most of Hawaii.
* PortTown: Salvador, Cape Town, Santorini, Palm Island, Dubai, Sydney and Hong Kong.
* ShiftingSandLand: Death Valley. Also Atacama, Uluru and most of United Arab Emirates.
* ShoutOut: A good few cars are references to more famous ones:
** The Ladybug is probably Herbie's long-lost cousin.
** The Loveride looks an awful like Literature/Christine, which probably has some rather dire repercussions...
** The Royal's 5th colour skin is basically a four-wheeled version of Kaneda's bike.
** The Explorer is pretty much the DeLoran with the SerialNumbersFiledOff.
** The Deja Vu looks like it came straight out of Manga/InitialD.
** The Nano looks like something Series/MrBean would drive.
** The Walker-X is pretty much like something out of Film/TwoFastTwoFurious.
** The Night Rider is pretty much the Batmobile InNameOnly.
* SlippySlideyIceWorld: Snow Flurry and Cold Day in Santiago, most of Iceland and Snow Festival in Sapporo.
* SpiritualSuccessor: To Top Gear.
* TheLostWoods: Sequoia National Park.
