* EdibleAmmunition: In the second Notty game, Yusa uses her Gum-Gum Gun to slow down Ival or Iyamy so she and the hero can follow them through the sewers.
* GameplayGrading: Uses the standard mineral-based grades: Stone, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The ranking is surprisingly lenient, so you can miss a lot of notes and still get a Platinum.

* MonsterMash: Most of Cool Cool Town's inhabitants are based on Franchise/UniversalHorror monsters, such as Kamio (werewolf), Bros, Brass, and Breath (invisible men), Ranke (FrankensteinsMonster), Mum and Mirror (mummies), and Lagoona and Gill (FishPeople).

The one surprising absence is vampires - King looks somewhat vampiric, but his similar-looking son Ival is called an imp, so he's probably meant to be a demon.

* ScoreMultiplier: Called "Flitz Boon", and unlike most rhythm games, you need to activate it by pressing one of the trigger buttons when the message "BOON CHANCE" appears. The first Boon Chance appears after a 20-note streak, and every 10 notes on top of that gives you another level, up to 4. Reaching a level 4 Flitz Boon makes the timing for notes stricter, which remains even if you break your streak and lose the boon.

* VariableMix: If your life meter falls too low, most of the music is replaced with goofy sounds until you can refill it.

''Cool Cool Toon'' is a RhythmGame developed by Creator/{{SNK}} for the Platform/SegaDreamcast. The game was released [[NoExportForYou only in Japan in 2000]], but a FanTranslation was released in 2023.

The main character is one of two kids, a boy named Amp or a girl named Spica. They get dragged through their TV set to the world of Cool Cool Town by a pink rabbit named Yusa. In Cool Cool Town, [[DancingIsSeriousBusiness every conflict is resolved through dancing]], or rather [[CallARabbitASmeerp flitzing, as it's called there.]] Yusa is disappointed by the human's flitzing skills, but finds that her TV set is broken, so they're stuck in Cool Cool Town for now.

The gameplay setup is similar to a typical rhythm game, where the player just has to press the right button at the right time, but most notes also require the analog stick to be held in the right position, indicated by the button appearing in certain spots on the "Flitz Ring".

* DancingIsSeriousBusiness: Flitzing is how all conflicts are resolved in Cool Cool Town. Good flitzers become society's elite, while the less talented live in poverty.
* MonsterMash: Most of Cool Cool Town's inhabitants are based on Franchise/UniversalHorror monsters, such as Kamio (werewolf), Bros (invisible men), Ranke (FrankensteinsMonster), Mum and Mirror (mummies), and Lagoona and Gill (FishPeople).
* OvernightAgeUp: [[spoiler:The main character is transformed into an adult during Chapter 4, thanks to Ival transferring his power into Amp or Iyamy casting a spell on Spica.]]
* TelevisionPortal: In the opening cutscene, Yusa comes out of the TV to take the main characters to Cool Cool Town.
* ThemeNaming: Amp (amplifier) and Spica (speaker) are both named after audio equipment.
* TrappedInAnotherWorld: The main character is trapped in Cool Cool Town due to Yusa's TV being broken.
* VariableMix: If your life meter falls too low, most of the music is replaced with goofy sounds until you can refill it.
