I'm a mid-thirties woman from the Netherlands (technically half-Dutch and half-Italian and I have two nationalities and was raised bilingually, but I've lived my whole life in the Netherlands so identify myself as Dutch).
I love TvTropes and contribute as much as I can in the following categories:
* Films (some of my favourite directors: Danny Boyle and Christopher Nolan).
* Disney (films)
* Literature (right now infatuated with Mark Z. Danielewski, and a long-time favourite is Michael Crichton).
* Old '90s Series - I used to watch a lot of television way back in the '90's but haven't done any TV in the last decade. The last series I religiously followed was Series/{{Lost}} from 2004-2010 but that screwed-up 6th season scarred me up for life and deterred me from TV-series for life (OK, that's over-exaggerating; but anyway, I don't watch TV anymore). Out of nostalgia, I love to edit on pages of old 90's series though.
! Tropes that apply to me:
* BilingualBonus: I was raised bilingually Dutch and Italian.
* ColonCancer: Or rather, semi-colons; when writing / typing, I have a tendency to make overly long sentences strung together by semi-colons; but I am aware of this; and I also am a GrammarNazi and pay attention to proper style; so I try to not let my sentences out of hand when editing articles on this Wiki.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Dark brown eyes as well as hair.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: I HATE raisins (and all other dried fruit), something nobody seems to understand.
* UsefulNotes/HighFunctioningAutism / UsefulNotes/AspergerSyndrome: Yes, I'm a woman and yes, I have this / am this. Unfortunately the general public seems to think this can only apply to men. It doesn't, and many women go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed because of this prejudice.
* UsefulNotes/TheNetherlands: Where I've lived almost all of my life.
* RavenHairIvorySkin: Probably due to my mixed heritage. Because of my black hair, I'm never believed to be Dutch when in other countries (or even within my own country).
* SpoilerHound: Often read synopses at Wikipedia etc., peek at the end of the book before beginning reading it, or look at websites like moviepooper.com before seeing a movie - actually enhances my pleasure of the work itself.
* TheWikiRule: I'm also active on Wikipedia (the English and the Dutch version) with the same user name; and on Wikia.
