DuelingWorks: In 1993, the science fiction community was plunging headlong into the infamous [[Series/StarTrekDeepSpaceNine DS9]]-[[Series/BabylonFive B5]] Wars. This was the largest front in a wave of high-profile sci-fi counter-programming sweeping the networks and syndication market (''Series/TheXFiles'', ''Series/SeaQuestDSV'' and ''Series/LoisAndClark'' all loudly trumpeted their debuts that fall). Not wanting to be left behind, {{Creator/CBS}} cast about for an entry into the race... and landed on this quirk of a series. Needless to say, in a race full of thoroughbreds, this little donkey finished a distant last.
