*** Many of the other enemies in the chapter were encountered in different ways than the final version. The Givanium Baby would have been encountered in one of the buildings, similar to the final version, Naughtified Bittergiggle had a minigame rather than the chase scene in the final verrsion, and Naughtified Kittysaurus was trapped in a pit with citizens surrounding it and needing to be free as part of a puzzle (rather than being asleep prior to the final battle with Sir Dadadoo).

*** In an earlier version of ''Garten of Banban VIII'', Syringeon was a far more tyrannical ruler of Cityngeon, openly compared to a cult leader ruling with an iron fist, though still pragmatic enough to ally with the protagonist. Cityngeon was also a far smaller city that was shrouded in darkness aside from its main area, with walls that were constantly banged on by the Naughty Ones, and a tower with a light shining on it, with Jumbo Josh said to be near it. The protagonist would need to light up the three blocks of the city, one of which is unused in the files, and fight off the Naughtified forces of Sir Dadadoo to advance to the tower.

Added DiffLines:

** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3iVyh1woHE The second episode]] of "Banban Chronicles" focuses on Syringeon.
*** Syringeon was originally colored light blue with two arms, smaller eyes, and a mouth higher up on his head and closer to his eyes. This design was deemed not scary enough, and so his mouth moved further down to where it is now, he gained his second pair of arms, and his body became the fuchsia color it is now. His lower left arm was originally set to have a knife or a scalpel on it at the end, but as the Euphoric Brothers realized Syringeon had no way to grab anything, these were passed over in favor of giving him a mechanical hand instead.
*** Syringeon was originally named "Fuchsia", after the color of his body, as a placeholder for his finalized name.
*** In an earlier version of '''Garten of Banban VIII'' Syringeon was a far more tyrannical ruler of Cityngeon, openly compared to a cult leader ruling with an iron fist, though still pragmatic enough to ally with the protagonist. Cityngeon was also a far smaller city that was shrouded in darkness aside from its main area, with walls that were constantly banged on by the Naughty Ones, and a tower with a light shining on it, with Jumbo Josh said to be near it. *** Sheriff Toadster remained enemies with the player in this version of the story, contrasting the final version where he eventually becomes their ally again. He would have judged the protagonist for their crimes in a courtroom, before the Naughty Ones subsequently crash the trial. Later, going insane, he would imprison the protagonist in a grocery store, necessitating the protagonist use a phone to call Syringeon for help. Syringeon would send a large generator to scare off Toadster, and the protagonist would use it to temporarily light up parts of Cityngeon while navigating it in order to fix the power boxes necessary to permanently restore power to those areas and gather other needed supplies.
*** Upon climbing the tower, Josh would have been nowhere to be found, so the protagonist would have to go back to talk to Syringeon. His conversation with Sir Dadadoo originally took place in a public park instead of a city intersection, and unlike the final game, he actually usurps Sir Dadadoo as the main antagonist by tricking and trapping him with the scepter piece, and revealing that he had been manipulating the player into helping him draw enough power to the city to capture Jumbo Josh, with the chapter ending on Syringeon successfully [[TheBadGuyWins chaining Josh]]. The script was scrapped in favor of the final version simply because it was deemed far less of a playable experience.

** ''Garten of Banban VII'' features Sheriff Toadster being encountered in a prison, when in the actual game, the player finds him in an alley. His frown in the prison likewise only appears [[spoiler:as he comforts the dying Bittergiggle]], and Toadster says the word "euphoric" (referencing the brothers), which is actually spoken by [[spoiler:Bittergiggle]].

*** Banban's original model, created on October 4th, 2022, resembled the final version with slightly older texturing. It was used as a placeholder for the first game's desktop icon and was featured in an official screenshot of the second game that showed a chase scene featuring Banban cut very early in the game's development. Banban would also have a guitar, ultimately only shown in a chalk drawing featured in the third game.

* DevelopmentGag: A poster in the theater in ''Garten of Banban VII'' features Banban, Stinger Flynn, and Jumbo Josh, and refers to a work called "Flumbo & Friends", referencing a prototype name for Banban, and by extension an earlier name for the game, ''Flumbo & Friends''. The presence of the three characters alludes to Banban's original role in the game, then Stinger Flynn replacing him, then Jumbo Josh being incorporated into the chapter at the end (though not the main enemy of the first chapter, a role that goes to Opila Bird). The symbolism of Banban replacing Flumbo would eventually become part of the game when the Flumbo name eventually resurfaced as [[spoiler:the blue Banban-like character revealed at the end of the game to be hidden under a decal of Banban]], with a trailer for ''Garten of Banban VIII'' hinting that [[spoiler:Banban was one of the underground monsters all along and had replaced Flumbo as the mascot of the kindergarten]].

*** Banban was originally named "Floopa" (as referenced in various old file names), with the game being titled ''Floopa & Friends'', then "Croopa", the game subsequently being retitled ''Garten of Croopa'' (as confirmed via a changelog showing the name change), before he was finally given his current name of Banban, and the game became ''Garten of Banban''. He was also the third character to be designed.

The first game was originally envisioned to feature Banban (ironically absent from his own game in the final version) as the primary threat, then replaced by Stinger Flynn, with the final version featuring Opila Bird instead. The original draft that featured Banban also took place in a much smaller kindergarten ... in the first half of the game. Going down the elevator, contrary to all later games, would ''not'' be the end of the chapter, with the elevator descending safely to the ground without Jumbo Josh present to drag it down, and the player would start exploring the underground facility in the second half of the chapter where Banban would continue to stalk the player. The room the elevator was meant to go down to being left in, but obscured by darkness and primarily visible through hacking to fly around the map, is a remnant of this idea that would ultimately be implemented in the second game.

*** Banban had two cut voice lines. The first, for the second game, is "Please, I need to know if you can hear me." if the player took too long to wave their drone remote at the security cameras (at a point when Banban posed as a trapped security guard), which was cut for having too many factors at play for the voice line to work effectively. The second, for the sixth game, is "What even are these things?", which Banban was meant to say shortly after the two implemented voice lines that played in the courtyard when releasing a Naughty One and seeing Sir Dadadoo for the first time, but was cut simply because the brothers forgot to implement it.
