* InvisibleAdvertising: An EnforcedTrope according to Sitterson. After making controversial comments that led numerous ''G.I. Joe'' websites to declare they would stop promoting IDW products until he was let go, Sitterson was told not to promote ''Scarlett's Strike Force'' via Twitter or public appearances. The book was cancelled due to exceptionally low pre-orders and Sitterson left IDW shortly after.

* ScrewedByTheLawyers: Per Aubrey Sitterson, the ''WesternAnimation/{{Inhumanoids}}'' were in fact supposed to be the creatures from beneath the surface, but had to be reworked into the Fatal Fluffies after they sen the script to Hasbro-- it transpired that Hasbro had let the ''Inhumanoids'' trademarks lapse and they apparently no longer own the rights to the name or characters.
