* CreatorsOddball: Chip Zdarsky is well known for writing comedy books like ''ComicBook/HowardTheDuck'' or ''[[ComicBook/ArchieComics2015 Jughead]]''. Even when he does normal superhero books, they tend to be very optimistic, like ''ComicBook/SpiderManLifeStory''. So far, ''Daredevil'' is the only book written by him that is ''very dark'' and ''very morally complex''. And yet, it all completely works.
* ScheduleSlip: Much like the rest of comics, issues of the book in 2020 was pushed back because of the UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic.
* TorchTheFranchiseAndRun: Not an example with the current run, but with the previous one. Zdarsky has noted that when he was going to come on-board the book, he talked to previous writer Creator/CharlesSoule about how [[https://www.cbr.com/daredevil-interview-zdarsky-checchetto/ writers tended to do this when leaving the book]]:
-->''I had lunch with Charles early on in the planning, and I made a joke about how the previous Daredevil writers always try to fuck over the incoming writers with cliffhangers. That's when he told me he was "killing" Daredevil, and I immediately regretted making my joke.''
