* Depa Billaba's death in the second issue, followed by Caleb struggling to survive.
* In the third issue, Caleb finally forsaking his Jedi identity and remaking himself as a thief. Also, the way he parts with Kasmir, who very much knows Caleb is trying to protect him and tries to talk Caleb out of leaving him.
** After [[spoiler:[[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech being scolded really hard by Caleb for Order 66]], Commander Grey comes to his senses and is horrified by his actions. When he's unable to get the rest of his brothers to come his senses, he performs a HeroicSuicide by destroying their ship's shields and letting Kasmir and Kleeve kill them. What's even more tragic is that at the beginning of ''[[WesternAnimation/StarWarsRebels Rebels]]'' Season 2, Kanan initially has heavy resentment towards the clones for having a hand in ruining his life (unaware that not all of them did so willingly, and not buying the bio-chip explanation), which means Kanan goes fifteen more years [[TheGreatestStoryNeverTold not knowing that one of the men who tried to kill him earlier sacrificed his own life to save him]].]]
* Kanan's jumpiness over returning to Kaller and his inability to really even speak of his past.
* The final panel in issue 6 [[spoiler:where Kanan lays unconscious due to a knife wound and the ghosts of his past, including his younger self, Depa, and the clone friends who betrayed him, stare upon him with pitiful looks on their faces]]
