* How about the credits? And it's not just the use of that absolute TearJerker of a song - 'Find Yourself' by Brad Paisley. Those lyrics are bad enough, but at around the same time they begin (when the Hilarious outtakes have ended), the screen just has to display the words 'Dedicated to Joe Ranft 1960-2005'. For those who don't know, Ranft was an actor and close friend of the Pixar crew, who died in a car accident. Made more sad by them showing clips, next to the dedication, of the Pixar characters he played: Heimlich (from 'A Bug's Life'), Lenny (from 'Toy Story 1&2') and Wheezy (from 'Toy Story 2'). Made even worse for anyone who watched Toy Story 3 and was wondering where Lenny and Wheezy were ... and it might be bad for anyone who hoped for a sequel to ABugsLife, as well. So ... heartwarming song, dedication to lost friend, clips of characters we may never see again ... did I miss anything?

*** This Troper has a small plush cat named Ginger that he's slept with for about ten years. It's the only thing he has left of his great-grandmother, and is irreplaceable. One night, Ginger seemed to mysteriously vanish, and was missing for about a month. This troper didn't think much of it, but then after reading this page, he went on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge, on a one-man quest to find Ginger. It turns out that the night he lost her, she had been flung into the air, and landed in his garbage can. That's where he found her. This troper held her close, crying like a baby, as he was reunited with his favorite toy of all time. For the record, this troper is 18.
** It was for this troper as well. Heck, as a character was a big tearjerker for this troper. Soon after watching the movie she bought herself the Thinkway toy of him that she hugs and reassures is loved everyday. And an out of movie tearjerker for this troper is how ruthlessly cold and hateful most fans are towards the character and any fans who like him. It not only makes this troper want to avoid the Toy Story fandom, but all three films completely, which is an awful shame.

tearjerker for this troper [[spoiler: Lotso is how ruthlessly cold realizing that his owner didn't KNOW toys were individuals with thoughts and hateful most fans are towards the character feelings, and any fans who like him. It not only for her to get a replacement for Lotso was, for her, a sign that she DID love her toy. ** This Troper cries every time he sees that. He made it through Wall-E and LordOfTheRings without a tear, thought Optimus Prime's death was weird, and found the deaths of Kamina and Nia to be average at best. During this scene, he sobs. He sings with the music, and when it reaches the final verse, he just breaks up. "Clearly... I will go sailing... no... more..."

* This troper threw her Toy Story 2 Jessie doll away when she was 10, long before she knew a third installment of the films was coming out. After searching AND seeing the movie, I felt like Emily, or Andy, or something. This troper still misses that doll. :(

** Speaking of Russell, his story of his father and him would sit at the corner and count cars while eating ice cream ending it with "I know that sounds dull, but the dull moments are the ones I miss the most." Thinking of the times I spent with my dearly departed, yeah.

** That's interesting, because "why I did it" speeches in which the hero is responsible for the villain's anguish make me hate the hero. The Incredibles was no exception.

** This troper found himself tearing up while watching the movie as it truly reminded him
of all the fun times he had with his toys as a kid growing up. It really made this troper think of all his toys that over the years were donated or given away, like where they are now, if they're bringing as much enjoyment to another kid as he felt as a kid or if their new owner is treating them with as much love as he did. When this troper got home, he went up into the attic, gathered up his toys that are left together and began to tear up as he held them in his arms. This tropers older sister says he's too old to be playing with toys, but this troper says that doesn't mean that the sentimental value is gone.

* No one has mentioned the scene [[spoiler:where Andy's mom immediatley breaks down in tears (having entered Andy's emptied room) and say she always want to be there for Andy? *** This troper has never seen his dad cry at a movie. Ever. This scene, watching it in the cinema with his dad next to him, this scene was the first time his father ever cried at a movie. As he said afterwards 'I really thought they were going to do it.'

*** Two weeks later, still thinking about those words will immediately cause me to tear up. Immediately.

*The first ten minutes leave me heartbroken. The note in the back of the Adventure Book makes me tear up. But the one thing that makes me truly cry is the absolute bittersweetness of the very last shot, showing that the house had fallen exactly where Ellie had wanted it to be. that its final resting place was right where she had always dreamed of going is terribly powerful, especially when considering how that last, perfect ending was only made possible by Carl letting his attachment to the house , and his determination to fulfill his promise, go.
*Speaking of promises:
-->Russel: Cross your heart?
-->Carl: *pauses* ... Cross my heart.
