* ''Series/ThePriceIsRight'', especially during the Bob Barker era, stubbornly refused to update its props: even into the early 2000's, the show still used components such as mechnical trilons, and legacy seven-segment (including mechanical "vane" displays, and ones using incandescent lamps such as the Contestants' Row displays) and eggcrate number displays that most of their contemporaries had abandoned (for example, ''Series/WheelOfFortune'' abandoned its trilon-based puzzle board for touch monitors in 1997, and replaced its eggcrate score displays with LCD screens after going HD), in combination with an overall look relatively unchanged since the late-1970's.
