And at this point, there is nobody in your army big enough to rescue Dozla. Adding to this is the small space in which to move and no space to hide, the boss that is way harder than any monster faced up to that point and averts the usual Stationary Boss by being a flier who will kill your weaker units if it can, and on top of all this we have Fog of War, meaning you can't see most of those flying enemies until it's too late.

Your party makeup and time limit would imply that you should run from battles, but then you won't have the money to buy much of that armor you have to give the greedy NPCs, both because you can't get money if you run away and also because you randomly lose some money in equal amount to 25% of the amount you would've gotten for winning the battle. And even if you satisfy the request of every single NPC on the map and make it to the final treasure in time, you're still not guaranteed to get anything worthwhile for it.
# VideoGame.Disgaea5AllianceOfVengeance: First, you have your WhiteMage clerics and clergy, aka your basic healing units. Apart from healing they also have unique buffs that raise multiple stats at once.

# UnbuiltTrope.AnimeAndManga: The series is also credited for popularizing (and not just in Isekai, but in non-Isekai fantasy as well) the hero getting a power that looks lame at first (and it may play a role in the aforementioned betrayal), but upon closer inspection turns out to have the potential to be devastating. Except Naofumi's Cardinal Shield never fit such a mold. Sure, its potential for offense was nonexistent (bar a couple corrupting Dangerous Forbidden Techniques) but it made Naofumi into an excellent tank, healer and buffer from the very beginning, however such power was useless on its own and made Naofumi extremely dependant on others to defeat his enemies. Even if Naofumi does get increasingly more powerful as the series progressed, this never extends to his offensive ability; he never outgrows the role of Stone Wall WhiteMage and always depends on Raphtalia and other companions to deal some actual damage.

At one point we learn that he prefers to urinate on dying people (although an anthill will do, in a pinch) because it just feels like he's wasting his time if someone isn't being hurt. Berserker is usually a perfectly sane, polite, downright classy fellow. Then he goes berserk. Kary, the Fiend of Fire, is so willing to follow whatever sadistic whim pops into her head that she ends up wiping out most of her own minions before the Light Warriors even get there.

The arch wizard is a little girl who knows a vastly powerful form of explosion magic, a single use of which leaves her incapacitated for several minutes, and nothing else. And the sword-wielding female crusader wears heavy armor and has enormous strength and stamina, allowing her to take inhuman amounts of punishment in battle (which she enjoys very much), but cannot actually hit a target herself.

# ThatOneLevel.FireEmblem: Ephraim's Chapter 11, Phantom Ship. If you didn't grind in the Tower of Valni, is a nightmare, especially on Hard Mode. You have to fight your way through a ship full of enemies to get to L'Arachel before she's stupidly killed because she's a noncombatant at this point, while her bodyguard Dozla is running off attempting (and mostly failing) to hit enemies with his huge Battle Axe. You could send your fliers to rescue her, but the seas around you are swarming with flying enemies, including flying spell-casters that can nuke the otherwise hardy flier Cormag. And at this point, there is nobody in your army big enough to rescue Dozla. Adding to this is the small space in which to move and no space to hide, the boss that is way harder than any monster faced up to that point and averts the usual Stationary Boss by being a flier who will kill your weaker units if it can, and on top of all this we have Fog of War, meaning you can't see most of those flying enemies until it's too late.

Your party makeup and time limit would imply that you should run from battles, but then you won't have the money to buy much of that armor you have to give the greedy NPCs, both because you can't get money if you run away and also because you randomly lose some money in equal amount to 25% of the amount you would've gotten for winning the battle. And even if you satisfy the request of every single NPC on the map and make it to the final treasure in time, you're still not guaranteed to get anything worthwhile for it.
# VideoGame.Disgaea5AllianceOfVengeance: First, you have your WhiteMage clerics and clergy, aka your basic healing units. Apart from healing they also have unique buffs that raise multiple stats at once.

# UnbuiltTrope.AnimeAndManga: The series is also credited for popularizing (and not just in Isekai, but in non-Isekai fantasy as well) the hero getting a power that looks lame at first (and it may play a role in the aforementioned betrayal), but upon closer inspection turns out to have the potential to be devastating. Except Naofumi's Cardinal Shield never fit such a mold. Sure, its potential for offense was nonexistent (bar a couple corrupting Dangerous Forbidden Techniques) but it made Naofumi into an excellent tank, healer and buffer from the very beginning, however such power was useless on its own and made Naofumi extremely dependant on others to defeat his enemies. Even if Naofumi does get increasingly more powerful as the series progressed, this never extends to his offensive ability; he never outgrows the role of Stone Wall WhiteMage and always depends on Raphtalia and other companions to deal some actual damage.

At one point we learn that he prefers to urinate on dying people (although an anthill will do, in a pinch) because it just feels like he's wasting his time if someone isn't being hurt. Berserker is usually a perfectly sane, polite, downright classy fellow. Then he goes berserk. Kary, the Fiend of Fire, is so willing to follow whatever sadistic whim pops into her head that she ends up wiping out most of her own minions before the Light Warriors even get there.
