* SpoilerTitle: The Pun in the title using Harold's name spoils that he's still in the competition. Granted, due to the TitleConfusion described further down the page, it's not as obvious for some viewers.

* TitleConfusion: You'd be surprised how many fans believe this episode is titled "Super Hero Id", as in "id" with uppercase "i", referring to identification. However, the episode is titled "Super Hero-ld", with the lowercase "L", clearly making a pun using Harold's name.

The contestants are put through a superhero genre challenge where they must create their own hero, powers and heroic deeds.
!!Tropes:
* AllAmazonsWantHercules: Leshawna admits being attracted to Harold after he completes the second part of the challenge.
* AnimalMotifs: Courtney's superhero name is The Human Cricket and Chef's supervillain alias is based on a python. Chris dresses up as Batman, so that's a bat motif.
* AshFace: Justin gets one after being electrocuted in the final stretch of the challenge.
* TheBadGuyWins: Justin, Duncan, and Courtney successfully convince Harold into voting off Leshawna instead of Duncan (whom Lindsay, Leshawna, and Beth were voting off).
* BlatantLies: Once Beth leaves, Courtney talks to Harold about voting off Leshawna. She tells him that the girls are planning to vote Harold off, making him the first of the guys to be voted off. When Harold asks why he needs to know this, Courtney tells him that she could take him to the final four because of his performance in that day's challenge. However, both him and Courtney needed to take down "the biggest threat". When Harold hears that [the biggest threat] is not Duncan, Beth, Justin, nor Lindsay, he refuses to vote with her. Courtney also tells him that Leshawna cannot be trusted for all the bad things she's done, especially in "Million Dollar Babies". She adds that if Leshawna is not voted off, then Harold is gone. At the ceremony, Harold isn't even in the bottom two.
* BrosBeforeHoes: The guys discuss which girl they'll jointly vote for to get eliminated. Duncan wants to vote off Leshawna, which her admirer Harold obviously doesn't want. He reminds Duncan that the two of them have an alliance with her and that if anything, he should be voted off for betraying said alliance. Duncan responds with intimidation and the phrase "Pals before gals!"
* CaptainGeographic: Harold's superhero persona is Captain Alberta, whose signature power is "Fartillery The Mighty Winds of Shinook".
* CatsAreMean: The supervillain (Chef) has a sidekick cat called "Dander Boy".
* ChekhovsGun: The burrito that Duncan puts into Harold's pocket as a prank, helps Harold get some food before the challenge and helps him with InASingleBound in the second part of the episode.
* CivvieSpandex: Chris continuously mentions the use of this on superhero costumes, and seems particularly interested in this as well.
* DamselInDistress: Chef is forced to be one in the introduction to the challenge. The contestants also have to save one in the second part of the challenge (it's actually a sack of potatoes).
* ElectricTorture: Courtney gets electrocuted as part of Chef's sabotage when they make costumes. Justin gets electrocuted before he can finish the obstacle course.
* ExactWords: Beth goes to Harold to convince him of the need to join forces against Duncan. Harold, who constantly gets picked on by Duncan, sarcastically replies: "Tell me something I don't know." And so, Beth tells him that Brady has two dogs named Steve, which Harold didn't know.
* ExpressiveMask: Pythonicus (Chef) and Dander Boy (a cat) wear masks that overtly move along with their facial expressions.
* FriendVersusLover: Harold was torn between voting with Justin's Alliance or staying loyal with Leshawna. Harold chose to vote with Justin.
* Gasshole: Harold becomes this as his superpower.
* IBrokeANail: In the exclusive clip, Leshawna theorizes that Harold voted her off because he was bullied into it. She rages through the Lame-o-sine at the thought of Duncan mistreating Harold, but calms down knowing there's nothing she can do for now. It's then that she realizes she broke a nail during her rampage.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Chef (as part of the obstacle course section: "Meteor Shower"), throws bowling balls at the contestants.
%% * InASingleBound: One part of the second part of the challenge.
* JerkassHasAPoint: Duncan wants Courtney's help in targeting Leshawna for elimination. She asks him for a reason to help him, which he answers with the notion that it's only because Courtney has immunity right now that she isn't voted off and as soon as she loses that immunity the other girls will come for her. Courtney raises her finger in the air and opens her mouth to retort, but drops the former and closes the latter when she realizes that Duncan is right.
* LackOfEmpathy: Duncan kicks Harold after Leshawna gets eliminated, rather than thank him for helping the guys' alliance out or feel sorry for Harold's loss.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Leshawna lied to get the spa reward in "One Flu Over The Cuckoos". This move put her on thin ice for the remainder of her time on the season. Courtney managed to swing Harold's vote in Leshawna's elimination by lying about the other girls wanting to target Harold for elimination. Courtney also added that Leshawna is not to be trusted for what she said about the contestants in "Million Dollar Babies".
* ManipulativeBastard: Duncan and Courtney trick Harold into voting Leshawna off, by lying to him that the girls are targeting him.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Both Beth and Courtney try to win Harold's vote against whom they see as the most viable elimination at that time, respectively Duncan and Leshawna. Due to flattery and threats, Harold goes with Courtney's proposal and votes off Leshawna. Yet the moment her elimination is final, he breaks down at her feet in remorse over the choice he made. Leshawna, who's made a haunting mistake earlier, sympathizes and forgives him.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Chris was a fan of Wonder Woman as a kid.
* PunBasedTitle: The title is a play on the word "superhero" and Harold's name.
* PunctuatedForEmphasis: When Chris is annoyed with the Courtney's impatience.
--> Chris: (while tidying his hair from a failed stunt) When. I. Feel. Like. It.
* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: Chris pretty much says this when explaining why he made Lindsay the winner of the first part of the challenge.
* SensualSpandex: Courtney wears a skin tight catsuit as part of her superhero costume which flaunts her figure.
* ShoutOut:
** Chris dresses up as ComicBook/Batman when he swoops down to "rescue" Chef.
** The first challenge of this episode is exactly like the one in an episode of Series/BeautyAndTheGeek.
** Chef's "Pythonicus" is based on Copperhead.
** Lindsay dresses up as ComicBook/WonderWoman and mentions her invisible jet. Beth's "Lumber Woman" is also based on her in name only.
** Harold's superhero "Captain Alberta" is based on ComicBook/CaptainAmerica, although the outfit more closely resembles ComicBook/Superman.
** Leshawna's "Super Aqua Chick" is based on ComicBook/Aquaman.
** Courtney's "The Human Cricket," is based on Atom Ant and her costume resembles Bumblebee.
* SnakesAreSinister: Chef's supervillain name is based on a python.
* SuperheroEpisode: Downplayed. It's a superhero movie challenge, and the contestants all create superhero personas for themselves, but none of them actually get superpowers, at best utilizing mundane abilities (like noisemaking or farting) to get through an obstacle course.
* SuperZeroes: The contestants become superheroes, but their "powers" are either nonexistent, gross, or really pathetic. Leshawna as "Super Aqua Chick" just throws water balloons, Beth as "Lumber Woman" can't actually talk to plants, Justin just throws wood chippings at Chris, and Duncan just slaps a paper eye on his forehead and pretends to be psychic. Even the most successful heroes, Courtney and Harold, have powers which are more comedic than amazing (Courtney is "The Human Cricket" and rubs her legs together to make an annoying noise, while Harold is "Captain Alberta" and uses Fartillery).
* UnwittingPawn: Harold is told by Courtney to vote off Leshawna.
