Oscar comes home exhausted to find Felix worrying about his parrot, Albert, who appears seriously ill. During the night, Albert dies. Despite his dislike for the bird, Oscar finds himself pushed into helping Felix prepare for the burial -- a Herculean task in the concrete jungle of New York.
!!This episode includes examples of the following tropes:
* AbsentAnimalCompanion: Albert never appears after this episode, despite surviving his "death."
* BurialAtSea: After Felix refuses to throw the body in the garbage chute, Oscar suggests that he and Felix bury Albert in the East River, because [[PirateParrot parrots love the sea]]. Felix agrees until he sees the filthiness of the water.
* DisguisedInDrag: While searching for a spot to bury Albert, Felix and Oscar get reprimanded by a policeman for digging in a park. It startles them because said policeman is dressed as an old lady to help him keep an eye out for sex maniacs. The policeman says he thinks he only got this post because his sergeant hates him.
* DisneyDeath: Felix's pet parrot, Albert, turns out to not be dead, but rather, in a coma due to medication overdose. He wakes up at his own funeral! Felix is overjoyed.
* HarmfulHealing: Felix tells the vet he gave Albert four drops of medicine every hour on the hour. Aghast, the vet exclaims that he told Felix to give Albert ''one'' drop every ''four'' hours.
* HypocriticalHumor: When Oscar tries to beg out of helping Felix with the burial because he has to go to work, the Pigeon Sisters chastise him. Of course, they beg off because they have a hairdresser appointment.
* ItsAllMyFault: During the funeral, Felix and the vet start discussing the instructions the vet gave about Albert and Felix realizes he gave the parrot too much medicine. While he doesn't say the words, he's clearly horrified at the thought that he accidentally killed his pet. Luckily, Albert awakens not long afterward.
* IWishedYouWereDead: Understandably, Oscar feels too tired to care much about the fate of a pet he dislikes. When he finally gets to sleep, Felix wakes him up again to tell him that he got his wish -- Albert died.
* RunningGag: The fact that Albert once bit Oscar's ear (earning his eternal dislike) comes up repeatedly, either in dialogue or through Oscar covering his ear when the parrot is around.
