* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Rabbit suggests he, Tigger and Gopher retreat when they believe they’re being hunted by the Grab-Me-Gotcha. Tigger says to forget retreating, and that they need to run for their lives.
* CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot: The main plot of the episode would’ve been avoided had the group put out their fire properly.

** When they prepare to return to Earth from the "Moon", Pooh realizes dryly that he and Piglet are in for a ''long'' fall.

* TooDumbToLive: Downplayed since there’s never any actual danger, but the group going to bed without properly putting out their campfire would be an incredibly bad idea in the real world.
* YouAreNotAlone: When Piglet is scared of the Grab-Me-Gotcha and decides to sleep in the corn basket, feeling safer there, Pooh decides to bunk next to him to keep him company.

* ChekovsGun: In the opening of the episode, Rabbit warns Tigger he's using too much corn and it results in an explosion of popcorn. The same thing happens again later when the fire's embers prove warm enough to explode the remaining corn, setting the plot in motion.

Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, and Gopher are settling in for the night on a camping trip. Tigger scares the group with a ghost story about the "Grab-Me-Gotcha", while Pooh longs for honey he thinks he can get from the Moon. An incident with popcorn sends Pooh and Piglet hurtling into the night sky, leading them to believe they've been taken to the Moon. While Pooh and Piglet go looking for Moon honey, Tigger, Rabbit, and Gopher go looking for their friends who they believe have been grabbed by the Grab-Me-Gotcha.
----
* AgentScully: Rabbit serves as the ignored voice of reason, knowing there's no Grab-Me-Gotcha. He does concede something weird is going on, but nonetheless remains rational until he's scared witless at the end of the episode.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: At the end of the episode, during the iris out, Piglet is accidentally knocked out of the show into the black void. However, Tigger is able to reopen the iris and get Piglet.
* ChekovsGun: In the opening of the episode, Rabbit warns Tigger he's using too much corn and it results in an explosion of popcorn. The same thing happens again later when the fire's embers prove warm enough to explode the remaining corn, setting the plot in motion.
* EveryoneHasStandards: When Piglet points out the Moon disappears once morning comes, Pooh agrees that he must end his search for honey, since they must focus on getting home.
* NotSoAboveItAll: After spending the entire episode denying the existence of the Grab-Me-Gotcha, when he's scared by Pooh and Piglet at the end, Rabbit begins crying for help from the supposed monster.
* ObliviousToTheirOwnDescription: Tigger, Rabbit, and Gopher don't realize that the "moon beasts" Pooh and Piglet encountered were actually them all along.
* RealAfterAll: Inverted. The end of the episode makes it clear there really was no Grab-Me-Gotcha.
* ShaggyDogStory: Subverted. Pooh's quest for moon honey ends in failure as he decides he and Piglet must return home before the night ends. However, upon returning to "Earth", he gets to enjoy the cache of honey the group was using as bait in their trap.
* SkewedPriorities: Averted for both Pooh and Tigger. Pooh admits it's more important to get home than to find the supposed infinite supply of Moon honey, while Tigger eventually becomes more focused on catching the Grab-Me-Gotcha so they can save their friends.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck:
** After Pooh and Piglet go missing and Tigger begins strong-arming the group into his theory about the Grab-Me-Gotcha, Rabbit has a forlorn, weary sigh as he puts out the fire.
--->'''Rabbit''': I have a feeling this is going to be a long night.
** When they prepare to return to Earth from the "Moon", Pooh realizes dryly that he and Piglet are in for a ''long'' fall.
