Semyon nearly forcibly puts Olga into the hospital for the last two weeks of her pregnancy, just in case, despite her insistence that everything would be fine. In the hospital, Olga suddenly panics, fearing that something may go bad with her pregnancy. Kisegach, after failing to convince her, just escorts her to their obstetrician. He calms Olga down, stating that due to her being young and healthy, everything would be fine... and then scares ''Kisegach'', stating that the same can't be said about her. But he assures them both that under his watch, everything would go fine: he has twenty years of experience, after all. Kisegach ultimately calms down, knowing that Bykov would be present when the time comes... but Olga starts feeling that it's her who needs Bykov being present, cause she can't trust Semyon (due to ''him'' being too nervous). But Lobanov, when told, insists that he ''must'' be near Olga himself. But Bykov, who was ready to call Semyon out on being a coward, asks him wether he's ''indeed'' ready. Lobanov insists that he is, and goes to Olga... only for Bykov to soon receive a call: Semyon had fainted right in the ward.

Semyon nearly forcibly puts Olga into the hospital for the last two weeks of her pregnancy, just in case, despite her insistence that everything would be fine.

Gleb's patient's friends wants to organise a bachelor party for him, for which they need to smuggle a stripper (she would be disguised for a nurse). Gleb agrees to keep everything hidden on condition that they would invite him, too.

Bykov presses Phil to give him money, stating that he just paid "on Phil's regard" to organise a collective gift for one of the doctors. Phil refuses, stating that he doesn't know this doctor, and this is not the first and not even the second time Bykov does this; Phil refuses to pay for the birthday party for someone he doesn't know or care about. When Bykov tries to point out that they previously paid in the same manner for ''his'' birthday, Phil counters this by pointing out that firstly, he didn't ask for this, and secondly, they gifted him ten litres of whisky... which Bykov then drank by himself anyway. Bykov then insists that this is an old Russian "tradition", to collect money for birthday presents ("pay for your friends, and expect that they would pay for you"), and suggests a way to prove it: they would create a fake person (surgeon Pichugin), and Phil would see how ''everyone'' would happily give money for his birthday, despite not even knowing him. Phil would collect the money. In the case Bykov turns out to be wrong, Phil may keep his money. Phil agrees.

Olga suddenly panics, fearing that something may go bad with her pregnancy. Kisegach, after failing to convince her, just escorts her to their obstetrician. He calms Olga down, stating that due to her being young and healthy, everything would be fine... and then scares ''Kisegach'', stating that the same can't be said about her. He, however, assures her that he would make sure everything goes fine (he has twenty years of experience, after all).

Gleb tries to smuggle a stripper (a girl called Oksana), only to get immediately busted by Bykov. Bykov somehow believes that she's an actual nurse, and separates them (directing Oksana to Rita, and Gleb to the patients).

Phil successfully collects money from everyone, even Kupitman (who for whatever reason pays twice the required amount). It seems that Bykov may actually win...

Kisegach calms down, knowing that Bykov would be present when time comes... but Olga now thinks that she should have Bykov presented, too, not trusting Semyon (due to ''him'' being too nervous).

Phil, as the last ditch attempt to prevent Bykov from winning, starts questioning people how that "Pichugin" even looks like; no one manages to provide an adequate answer, but they still assures him that they ''certainly'' knows him.

Gleb tries to smuggle Oksana again, with the same results as before. Realising that he can't risk being busted the third time, Gleb just asks Rita to cover for him, and organises everything right here. She reluctantly agrees, on condition that Gleb would "dance" for her later. Unfortunately, due to mistake, the ''other'' guys receives a stripper instead, and Gleb fails to convince Oksana to stay any longer.

Olga tells Semyon about her idea to invite Bykov to being near her during delivery, but Semyon vehemently refuses, stating that he ''must'' be near her himself.

After visiting the Surgery, Rita finally learns that Pichugin doesn't exist, and goes, alongside everyone else, to confront Phil. Now, it's up to Phil to explain about the bet...

Gleb's patient isn't impressed about the whole plan, thinking that just spending some time together would be much better than some random stripper. But how to do this? This ''is'' the hospital, after all... Fortunately for them, Gleb has a plan; he may throw a party right here, in the hospital. To do so, he just tells Bykov the whole story about the stripper, and gets "punished" with a night shift, allowing him to organise everything.

Bykov goes to reprimand Semyon for being too cowardly to be with his wife during delivery, only to learn, to his surprise, that Semyon is ready to go, because it's his duty. While he agrees with him, he questions him wether he's ''indeed'' ready. Lobanov insists that he's ready, and goes to his wife... only for Bykov to receive a call some time later: Lobanov just fainted right in the ward, and they need help to take him out of here.

Paid, not payed.

Bykov presses Phil to give him money, stating what he just payed "on Phil's regard" to organise a collective gift for one of the doctors. Phil refuses, stating what he doesn't know this doctor, and this is not the first and not even the second time Bykov did this; Phil refuses to pay for the birthday party for someone he doesn't know or care about. When Bykov tries to point out what they previously payed in the same manner for ''his'' birthday, Phil counters this by pointing out what firstly, he didn't ask for this, and secondly, they gifted him ten litres of whisky... which Bykov then drank by himself anyway. Bykov then insists what this is an old Russian "tradition", to collect money for birthday presents ("pay for your friends, and expect what they would pay for you"), and suggests a way to prove it: they would create a fake person (surgeon called Pichugin), and Phil would see how ''everyone'' would happily give money for his birthday, despite not even knowing him. Phil would collect the money. In the case Bykov turns out to be wrong, Phil may keep his money. Phil agrees.

Good thing to do (especially given what it's Gleb, but nowhere near the Heroic Sacrifice level.

Semyon nearly forcibly puts Olga into hospital for last two weeks of her pregnancy, just in case, despite her objections what everything would be fine.

Gleb's patient's friends wants to organise bachelor party for him, for which they need to smuggle a stripper (under nurse's guise). Gleb agrees to keep everything hidden on condition what they would invite him, too.

Bykov presses Phil to give him money, stating what he just payed "on Phil's regard" to organise a collective gift for one of doctors. Phil refuses, stating what he doesn't know this doctor, and this is not the first and not even second time Bykov did this; Phil refuses to pay for birthday's of people he doesn't know or care about. Olga suddenly panics, fearing what something may went bad with her pregnancy. Kisegach, after failing to convince her, just escorted her to their obstetrician. He calmed Olga down, stating what due to her being young and healthy, everything would be fine... and then scared ''Kisegach'', stating what same can't be said about her. He, however, assures her what he would make sure everything goes fine (he has twenty years of experience, after all!)

Gleb tried to smuggle stripper (girl called Oksana), but was immediately busted by Bykov. Bykov somehow believed what she's actually nurse, and separated them (directing Oksana to Rita, and Gleb to patients).

Phil successfully collects money from everyone, even Kupitman (who for whatever reason payed twice required amount). It seems Bykov may actually win...

Kisegach calmed down, knowing what Bykov would be presented when time comes... but Olga now thinks she should have Bykov presented, too, not trusting Semyon (due to ''him'' being very nervous).

Phil, realising what Bykov may actually win, started questioning people how that "Pichugin" even looks like; they, with various degree of success, started giving him excuses why they can't remember, but ''everyone'' stated what they certainly know him.

Gleb tried to smuggle Oksana again, with same results as before. Realising he can't risk being busted the third time, Gleb just asked Rita to cover for him, and organise everything right here. She reluctantly agreed, on condition what Gleb would "dance" for her later. Unfortunately, she misinterpreted other guy for her actual "client" and when Gleb finally brought him, she refused to stay any longer and leaved. Oops.

Olga tell Semyon about her idea to invite Bykov on being near her during delivery, but Semyon vehemently refused, stating what near her can be only one himself.

longer.

Olga tell tells Semyon about her idea to invite Bykov on to being near her during delivery, but Semyon vehemently refused, refuses, stating what he ''must'' be near her can himself.

After visiting the Surgery, Rita finally learn what Pichugin doesn't exist, and goes, alongside everyone else, to confront Phil. Now, it's up to Phil to explain about the bet...

Gleb's patient isn't impressed about the whole plan, thinking what just spending some time together would
be much better than some random stripper. But how to do this? This ''is'' the hospital, after all... Fortunately for them, Gleb has a plan; he may throw a party right here, in the hospital. To do so, he just tells Bykov the whole story about the stripper, and gets "punished" with the night shift, allowing him to organise everything.

Bykov goes to reprimand Semyon for being too cowardly to be with his wife during delivery,
only one himself.to learn, to his surprise, what Semyon is ready to go, because it's his duty. While he agrees with him, he questions him wether he's ''indeed'' ready. Lobanov insists what he's ready, and goes to his wife... only for Bykov to receive a call some time later: Lobanov just fainted right in the ward, and they need a help to take him out of here.

* TheBet: Phil's plot involves his bet with Bykov; Bykov wants to prove what when somebody has a birthday, ''everyone'' would give some money to pay for collective gift, while Phil thinks what people only care about their close friends, and wouldn't pay for some random people they hear about for the first time. Bykov actually won this one.
* GilliganCut: Semyon tell Bykov what he goes to the nursery, to watch how other women gives birth, so he would be ready for his wife's delivery. When asked wether he's sure this is good idea, he stated what he has steel will. Cut to nurse calling Bykov and saying what Semyon just fainted; Semyon can be seen on background, lying on the gurney without any move, only to drop from it when Bykov finished talking.
* HeroicSacrifice: When his patient's friends' surprise (stripper in nurse's disguise) failed, Gleb promised them to organise bachelor party right here, in the hospital. Because this requires him staying on night shift, he tell Bykov about whole story with stripper (whom Bykov mistook for actual nurse, twice), expecting whole well what he would be punished, and punished greatly.
* InventedIndividual: Surgeon Pichugin was created by Bykov for his bet with Phil ([[TheBet to test wether people would pay for collective present for somebody they hear for the first time]]). When Phil realised what Bykov is close to win, he started questioning people how that "Pichugin" even looks like; they, with various degree of success, started giving him excuses why they can't remember, but ''everyone'' stated what they certainly know him.
* NoEnding: Phil's plot ends with everything finally arriving at "birthday party" for [[InventedIndividual Pichugin]], only to find what he doesn't exist (and embarrassed Phil, who collected money for it, [[TheBet under Bykov's orders]]). Scene cuts off before we learn how Phil dealt with situation.

** Despite them having two weeks until it's time to give birth, Semyon already started worrying and nearly forcibly put Olga at the hospital, completely ignoring all her arguments what everything would be okay. * PerpetualPoverty: When Phil collected money for [[InventedIndividual Pichugin's birthday]], Semyon only managed to find 400 roubles (out of required 500), and stated what he's tired of non-ending birthdays.
