Bykov just fired their babysitter, and is forced to bring his son Ilya on his workplace. Kisegach isn't amused, and orders him to find a replacement himself. Bykov can't search for babysitter and sit with Ilya, so he needs someone else to sit with him; he tries Phil, but he refuses, stating that this isn't part of his duties. It seems that under Kupitman, Phil became too spoiled; they must remind him what "it's and order" means! Kupitman disagrees with Bykov, stating that he has "different methods than Bykov", to which Bykov points that next time, Phil would disagree with Kupitman's orders, too. He knew whom to tell this, because Kupitman immediately proceeds to showing Phil "his place", and forces Phil to accept Ilya. When Ilya was delivered to Phil, Bykov proceed to "casting"... but failed to find anyone fitting, rejecting lots and lots of candidates.

Phil isn't the only only whom Bykov mistreats; he constantly snitches on Semyon to Gennadiy at the worst moments possible, and Gleb now receives triple dose of Bykov's yelling and insults (Bykov even ignores Igor and Valera, new twin doctors, and concentrates on Gleb alone). Phil doesn't get spared after the first task, either, because now Bykov manipulates Kupitman into using Phil to bring them some grapes from the store. Phil manages to find them, only for Bykov to state that he's no longer wants it. Phil tells him that he knows about his influence on Kupitman, and states that it wouldn't work ever again.

Kisegach suddenly hears Ilya's crying, and rushes to him... only to find that Bykov "tests" who of babysitter candidates would manage to calm him down. After this, Kisegach tries to persuade their old babysitter to return. Babysitter explains that real reason for Bykov's behaviour isn't him searching for "ideal babysitter", but rather, him searching for new victim: Bykov is an "energetic vampire", who feeds on suffering of other peoples. This allows Anastasia to realise: Bykov just needs "new blood".

Gleb fails to convince Bykov to stop mistreating him (Bykov stated that he shouts on Gleb, and only on Gleb, because Gleb is his student, so every time Gleb screws up as a doctor, Bykov screws up as a teacher. Bykov doesn't care about Igor and Valera, they have their own teacher to shame. However, Gleb just suddenly realises how Bykov learns about Lobanov's screwups: he has a hidden camera in Semyon's working room! Together, they manages to find it and turn off. Semyon is enraged: he specifically switched departments to stop being abused by Bykov! He starts suggesting radical solutions (like moving to the other city), but Gleb tells him that Bykov would find a way to abuse them even there. They gets interrupted by Phil (who failed to convince Kupitman that he's manipulated by Bykov), who just came up with an idea: Bykov needs new interns to yell at! The three goes to Kisegach. She had the same idea, but now they must find a way to tell about this to Bykov. Their discussion gets interrupted by Bykov's arrival.

*** Kupitman's "slaver and his slaves" analogy, while failing to prove his point, helps Phil to realise that Bykov just needs new interns... so he would abuse them instead of his old ones.
* ExtremeDoormat: PlayedWith. When he tells this to Kupitman, he states that he has different methods, to which Bykov replies with accusing Kupitan of becoming too weak-willed, allowing Phil to refuse direct orders (wether those orders are legal or not, doesn't matter; if Bykov ordered, Phil should follow), and warns him that next time, Phil would disagree with Kupitman, too. He knew whom to tell this, because Kupitman immediately proceeds to showing Phil "his place". Fist time, it's just leaving him with Ilya, but later Phil gets forced to act as their personal slave.

*** Ilya's babysitter's comment about Bykov being "energetic vampire" led leads to Kisegach realising what that Bykov's behaviour is due to him no longer having interns to "feed" on.
on -- he needs "fresh blood".
*** Kupitman's "slaver and his slaves" analogy, while failed failing to prove his point, helped helps Phil to realise what that Bykov just needs new new interns... so he would abuse them instead of his old ones.
* ExtremeDoormat: PlayedWith. When Phil didn't doesn't immediately followed follow his orders (sitting with Bykov's son, actual work be damned), stating what that this isn't part of his duties, Bykov considered considers this to be a bad sign. When he tell tells this to Kupitman, he stated what states that he has different methods, to which Bykov replied replies with accusing Kupitan of becoming too weak-willed, so allowing Phil may to refuse direct orders (wether those orders are legal or not, doesn't matter; if Bykov ordered, Phil should follow), and warned warns him what that next time time, Phil would disagree with Kupitman, too. He knew whom to tell this, because Kupitman immediately proceed proceeds to showing Phil "his place". Fist time, "showing Phil his place" was it's just leaving him with Ilya, but later he was Phil gets forced to act as their personal slave.

** After Ilya's babysitter, Anna Petrovna, mentioned Bykov being "energetic vampire", Kisegach immediately imagined him as actual Dracula-style vampire.
** When Kupitman tried to use American slavers as analogy, scene with them being in Django-like scene, with Bykov, Kuptiman and Phil receiving context-appropriate roles.
** When Gleb compared working under Bykov to mafia, Godfather-like scene was shown, with Kupitman as Don Corleone. It ended badly for Gleb and Semyon when they tried to leave.
** In the end of episode, when they all discussed what they could possibly do with Bykov, he arrived in the middle of discussion. All of them imagined Bykov as main villain of their respective Imagine Spots what they saw earier.
* ImplacableMan: Gleb considers Bykov this; no matter what you do, he would find a way to reach you and continue his abuse. Gleb has two more people, besides himself, working under Bykov, yet Gleb gets punished even for their screwups. Semyon and Phil switched departments, yet Bykov found a way to mistreat them even there (by installing spy camera so he may snitch on Lobanov, and by pressing Kupitman into doing what he wants for Phil, respectively). When Semyon suggested to just move to another city, Gleb speculated what Bykov would find a way to deal with this, too.
* Irony: Of all Bykov's interns, only Gleb remained in Therapy; Semyon and Phil joined Traumatology (under Gennadiy) and Venereology (under Kupitman), respectively. Due to being only of Bykov's old "toys" to not leave him, Gleb receives triple dose of his abuse, and now on the verge of breakdown.
* KickTheDog: Only reason Bykov mistreats Phil, Semyon and Gleb is him missing "good old days"; to imitate them, he forced Phil into acting like his personal slave (by exploiting Kupitman's insecurities), ruined all Semyon's attempts to have some freedom by ratting him out to Gennadiy at every occasion, and Gleb, being last of old students available, received triple dose of Bykov's yelling and insults, which almost lead to him snapping.
* PapaWolf: Bykov fired his son's babysitter due to her showing him "brain-damaging" TV. Bykov considers this to be valid excuse; Kisegach isn't. Later, when he actually proceed to "casting" in order to choose new babysitter, he brought around fifty people, with even more being en route.
* POVCam: When Bykov showed hospital to his son Ilya, camera often switched to Ilya's [=PoV=].
* RememberTheNewGuy: New doctors under Bykov, twins Igor and Valera, joined during TimeSkip between seasons (so Bykov would still have three doctors even without Semyon and Phil). Bykov introduced them to his son Ilya amongst other characters we already know.
* ResignationsNotAccepted: Bykov certainly believes what he can continue do abuse his ex-interns just because they were his interns once. So, he proceed to do exactly that, kickstarting whole plot.
** Kupitman (whom Bykov pressed into compliance in order to abuse Phil, who's now Kupitman's subordinate) stated what "there's no such thing as ex-intern"; his attempt to justify it, however, did exactly opposite of intended effect.
** Gleb (who, unlike Semyon and Phil, failed to switch department, and so receives it worst, being Bykov's direct subordinate) outright compared their situation to mafia (with Bykov, obviously, being a don), where you can't just leave without consequances.

Ex-interns, now full-pledged doctors, Bykov's students mostly leaved Bykov: Semyon now works under Gennadiy in Traumatology, Phil -- under Kupitman in Venereology, and only Gleb remained with Bykov... and now suffers triple dose of his abuse (Bykov for whatever reason completely ignores his who new doctors, twins Igor and Valera). He's now on the verge of breakdown.

Bykov just fired their babysitter, and was forced to bring his son Ilya on work. Kisegach was not amused, and ordered him to find replacement himself. Bykov can't search for babysitter and sit with Ilya, so he needs someone else to sit with him; he tried Phil, but he refused, stating what this isn't part of his duties. It seems, under Kupitman Phil became too spoiled; they must remind him what "it's and order" means! Kupitman didn't agreed with him, stating what he has "different methods than Bykov", to which Bykov pointed what next time, Phil would disagree with Kupitman's orders, too. He knew whom to tell this, because Kupitman immediately proceed to showing Phil "his place", and forced Phil to accept Ilya.

When Ilya was delivered to Phil, Bykov could proceed to "casting"... but failed to find anyone fitting, rejecting lots and lots of candidates.

Phil wasn't the only only whom Bykov mistreated; he constantly ratted Semyon out to Gennadiy at worst moments possible, and Gleb now receives triple dose of Bykov's yelling and insults (Bykov even ignores Igor and Valera, and concentrates on Gleb and Gleb alone). Phil wasn't spared after first task, either, because now Bykov manipulated Kupitman into using Phil to bring them some grapes from the store. Phil managed to find them, only for Bykov to state what he's no longer wants it. Phil tell him what he knows about his influence on Kupitman, and stated what it wouldn't work ever again.

Kisegach suddenly hears Ilya's crying, and rushes to him... only to find what Bykov "tests" who of babysitter candidates would manage to calm him down. After this, Kisegach tried to persuade their old babysitter to return. Babysitter explained what real reason for Bykov's behaviour isn't him searching for "ideal babysitter", but rather, him searching for new victim: Bykov is "energetic vampire", who feeds on suffering of other peoples. This allowed Anastasia to realise: Bykov just needs "new blood".

Gleb failed to convince Bykov to stop mistreating him (Bykov stated what he shouts on Gleb, and only on Gleb, because Gleb is his student, so every time Gleb screws up as a doctor, Bykov screws up as a teacher. Bykov doesn't care about Igor and Valera, they have their own teacher to shame. However, Gleb just suddenly realised how Bykov learns about Lobanov's screwups: he has hidden camera in Semyon's working room! Together, they managed to find it and turn off.

Bykov "ordered" Kupitman to force Phil to stay on night shift (just because Phil called him out earlier). When Phil tried to point what Kupitman again and again just does what Bykov wants from him, not what he wants, and what Phil is no longer Bykov's intern, Kupitman replied with "there's no such thing as "ex-intern", and tried (but failed) to justify it with first metaphor (slaver and his slaves) he can clumsily got with.

Semyon is in rage: he specifically switched department to stop being abused by Bykov, but it never worked out! When he suggested to just move to other city, Gleb assured him what Bykov would find them even there, and compared their situation to the mafia where you can't just resign without consequences. They were interrupted by Phil who just had an idea: they need to find Bykov new interns! So, they proceed to Kisegach. Unfortunately, just having an idea is not enough; how to tell Bykov about it? Their discussion was interrupted by Bykov arrival.

!! This episode provides examples of:
* AnalogyBackfire: Kupitman tried to use slave fight scene from Film/DjangoUnchained as analogy for his treatment of Phil and why he can't stop abusing Phil on Bykov's orders, but it only made situation worse, since, well, he used Django Unchained as analogy.
* BadBoss: Kupitman used to be BenevolentBoss to Phil, but under Bykov's influence started mistreating him in order to prove to Bykov what he's boss here, not Phil.
* TheBusCameBack: During TimeSkip between seasons, Lyuba quietly returned into hospital (we can view her for the first time when Bykov introduced her to his son); Rita remained as her subordinate.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Polina quietly disappeared between seasons without any on-screen explanation whatsoever.
* CliffHanger: Episode ends just when Bykov arrives in the middle of discussion (which is about his new interns) an asked what's this about.
* DoubleStandard: Bykov clearly treats Gleb far worse than Igor and Valera; best shown when he loudly yelled at Gleb for "his" screwup, calling him names, but when learned what this mistake was made by one of the twins, he just (calmly) tell him to to be more accurate next time. Bykov, when pressed, explained his reasons to do so: Gleb is his student, and ergo, every his failure as a doctor is Bykov's failure as a teacher, and Bykov can't allow his failure as a teacher to be ignored; Igor and Valera had their own teacher, some hypothetical "Petr Petrovich" and Bykov doesn't care about them shaming "Petr Petrovich" as long as they don't screw up particularly badly.
* EurekaMoment:
** When Bykov mentioned "hidden camera" during his "Petr Petrovich" joke, Gleb realised what this must be how Bykov spies on Semyon. He was right.
