Sofia meets with Stan and Aderholt again, and brings Gennadi (Yuri Kolokolnikov)

Sofia meets with Stan and Aderholt again, and brings Gennadi (Yuri Kolokolnikov)Kolokolnikov), whom she's still seeing. It turns out Gennadi knows all about Sofia working with the FBI, and wants to work for them as well. Stan and Aderholt are both afraid this is actually a trap, but Wolfe convinces them to continue and wait to see if anything happens.

Elsewhere, Mischa meets up with Philip's brother in the Soviet Union (and gets along with him and his family), Oleg turns sour on his investigation when it becomes clear it's doing nothing to stop corruption in the Soviet Union, and Paige continues to train herself physically.

Pascha comes home, having been beat up by the bullies, but despite this, and Evgheniya's entreaties, Alexei refuses to take his family back to the Soviet Union, so Elizabeth tells Tuan they need to rethink their strategy. Tuan's idea is to have Pascha try to commit suicide, which both Elizabeth and Philip are appalled by. When they try to call the house and there's no answer, Philip, despite Elizabeth and Tuan's protests, marches over to the house.

Pastor Tim accepts a position as a missionary in Argentina, which gets offered to him [[Recap/TheAmericansS5E11Dyatkovo as per Elizabeth and Philip's request to Claudia]]. Elizabeth and Philip also tell Claudia they want to quit and come back to the Soviet Union. Claudia is okay with this, and says she'll make preparations, but suggest they not tell Henry until they get to the Soviet Union.
