Added DiffLines:

The Scorpion escapes from prison, wanting revenge against Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson. When he breaks into Dr. Stillwell's lab to find a way to increase his power, the Scorpion drinks a formula that turns him into a giant and sends him on a rampage across the city.

----
!!"Sting of the Scorpion" provides examples of:

* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: Scorpion ingests some chemicals that cause him to grow to gigantic size, allowing him to easily capture Jameson and shrug off attacks from the military.
* DudeNotFunny: Spider-Man's attempt to lighten the mood after Jameson is kidnapped doesn't go over well with Betty:
-->'''Betty:''' You've got to save him!\\
'''Spider-Man:''' The Scorpion or Jameson?\\
'''Betty:''' This isn't funny! Mr. Jameson's life is in danger!
* FollowTheChaos: After the Scorpion breaks into Stillwell's lab, Spider-Man manages to track him down by following a path of overturned vehicles scattered across a city street.
* NeverMyFault: Jameson calls Dr. Stillwell and claims it's his fault that the Scorpion is on the loose again. This is despite the fact it was Jameson's idea to create the Scorpion in the first place and that he was the one who ignored Stillwell's requests to run more tests before sending him after Spider-Man.
* TemptingFate: Jameson rebuffs Peter's request to run a story on Spider-Man's RoguesGallery since they're all currently locked-up in prison. He immediately gets a phone call alerting him that the Scorpion has escaped and is coming after him.
* YourSizeMayVary: The Scorpion is said to be twenty feet tall after drinking Stillwell's formula, but his size shifts around a lot. In some shots he's taller than the surrounding skyscrapers, while in others he's only a few feet taller than Jameson.
----

The Human Flies are put on parole and continue a string of thefts across the city, all while framing Spider-Man for their crimes.

----
!!"Trick or Treachery" provides examples of:

* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: Jameson lays out the evidence that supposedly proves that Spider-Man robbed a jewelry store; including him fleeing from the scene of the crime, leaving behind his mask, and littering the store with webbing and apples.
* CreatorInJoke: The names of the Fly Twins are revealed to be Stan and Lee, a deliberate nod to Spider-Man's co-creator Creator/StanLee.
* FrameUp: The Human Flies frame Spider-Man by one of them disguising as the web-head during their heists.
* TrackingDevice: Taking a note from Spider-Man's Spider-Tracers, the Human Flies create their very own Fly-Tracer to plant on Spidey so they can track his movements. Peter notices the tracer afterwards and reverse-engineers it so he can figure out where the twins will strike next.
