His intended outcome was to '’maybe'' have the Samadhi Fire ritual be preformed on himself once all of the rings were collected - including the unknown one within Mei - and to ''hope'' that he could then use the fire to destroy Lady Bone Demon on his own - with no real idea of how he would be able to achieve any of this considering the Samadhi Fire is repeatedly stated to be uncontrollable. He never thought it appropriate to tell the team any of this, not even the truth about Mei, and didn’t offer any real direction to finding the rings or details to his plan throughout the season because he didn’t really take any of that into consideration, eventually admitting he was making things up as he went along.
