* WorfHadTheFlu: The MC could actually fend himself against the kidnappers. However, because they are outnumbered and also has to protect Lyria who was sick at the time, they had no choice but to surrender and take a beating. Averted with Eugen who shows that they could indeed take down the kidnappers singlehandedly.

** Case in point, if Mary is already in the crew, she will already be accompanying Eugen when they buy supplies in the prologue. She's also the one to convince Eugen to stop wasting his time negotiating with the ObstructiveBureaucrat, and is the one who hatches a plan on how to get to Sidheros Island.
** If Mary isn't already in the crew, she's completely absent in the prologue and first chapter episode. Instead, she will be introduced in the second episode mistaken for a spy. Eugen then covers up for her, passing her as a granddaughter, and convinces her to find a way to get to Sidheros Island.

* EnemyMine: Mary and Altos end up teaming up with each other despite their differences.

* WorfHadTheFlu: The captain could actually fend himself against the kidnappers. However, because they are outnumbered and also has to protect an ill Lyria, they had no choice but to surrender and take a beating. * HappilyAdopted: Played with. Mary outright hated what Galthazar did to them which is why she left without a word. It's implied Altos only tolerates it himself and isn't particularly happy with their situation either. However, the rest of the orphans including Syr know there's no better place than with Galthazar, even if they are afraid of him at times. Eventually played straight by everyone by the end of the event.

* BittersweetEnding: While the crew's actions eventually expose the exploitation of Sidheros Island to authorities, the orphans are forced to part ways from Altos and Galthazar, the latter of which is taken into custody and in need of medical attention.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: It turns out, Avaritia is responsible for [[spoiler: Galthazar's obsession with jewels]]. Averted with Clayus who, while entranced by Avaritia's jewels, is really in it for himself.
* EvilIsNotAToy: Avaritia proves to be a much greater threat than Clayus could handle.
* {{Greed}}: The central problem of the story. [[MeaningfulName Avaritia]] is even the primal beast of greed itself.

* ADayInTheLimelight: The event focuses on Mary, Syr and their broken family.

** In another scene, if Mary is in the crew, she'll explain to Altos that her friends got locked up in the mines. This revelation surprises Altos, [[spoiler: as he did not think a traitor would have friends]]. This dialogue is completely absent if Mary isn't already part of the crew.

* AlternateContinuity: Moreso than any other event, though still a downplayed example. Depending on whether the player has a particular character obtained from the gacha or not, most events simply have narrations or dialogues introducing said characters for players without them, or even simply skipping the introductions if they do. This event is one of the few stories where they actually try to fit in Mary into the scenes.
