On a dark ([[InsistentTerminology but not yet stormy]]) night on April 10th, 1954, a group of six individuals travel to a secluded mansion, Hill House, to partake in a gathering. It is not a cordial meeting, however; as implied by the invitations each one has recieved, the host has blackmail material on each one of them, and it is in each guest's best interest to attend a dinner that evening so the sorrid affair could be put behind them once and for all. However, the guests in attendance must only refer to themselves as an alias rather than their real name.

There are complications at play, however; towards the end of the dinner, a seventh guest, a Mr. Boddy, arrives with a mysterious bag. His butler, Wadsworth, makes known after revealing the blackmail material that the police have been called, and are on their way to arrest everyone. However, Mr. Boddy accuses Wadsworth of bluffing about the cops, and proposes an alternative solution: If Wadsworth is threatening to turn them over to the cops, and will only let them leave "over his dead body", then why not take him up on the offer? He has with him a series of "gifts": six random murder weapons. If the others wish to keep their secrets safe and avoid procesution, Wadsworth must die. And so, he turns off the lights...

Two mechanics are at play in order to maintain the "murder mystery" aspect of the plot, and also factor how the movie had MultipleEndings: Not only did Lisa randomize the "gifts" the others recieved, but each player has the opportunity to, at any point during the campaign, sidebar with her (either through text, or in a private call), thus preventing everyone from knowing the same information at the same time.

Notably, this campaign had been stricken with a minor TroubledProduction; as admitted in the first episode, they are actually redoing the campaign from the start as the audio for the original session (which spanned an episode-and-a-half) [[LostForever "went the way of the dodo"]].[[note]]It's not outright said, but it's implied this campaign was originally meant to follow ''[[Recap/FilmRerollTeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesIITheSecretOfTheOoze Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II]]'', but had to be swapped out with ''[[Recap/FilmRerollRogueTwoANewHope Rogue Two]]'' so they could rerecord. Rather appropriately, this wound up intercepting ''Rogue Two'' so they could record the rest of that.[[/note]] The only other case of this happening to date is ''[[Recap/FilmRerollWinnieThePoohAndTheBlusteryDay Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day]]''.

Starring Andy Hoover as Colonel Mustard, Kara Strait as Mrs. White, Scott Aiello as Professor Plum, Joz Vammer as Miss Scarlet, Carolyn Faye Kramer as Mrs. Peacock, Paulo Quiros as Mr. Green, and Lisa Kopitsky as the Dungeon Master.

----
!!Tropes:
* ActorAllusion: In the scene where Professor Plum crosses paths with Miss Scarlet on his way to Hill House, Scott makes two references to ''Film/BackToTheFuture'' (which, [[AmbiguousSituation according to Kara]], are out of 27 total): Scott announces he's "[throwing] a blanket over the Flux Capacitor" once he pulls his car over, and when he leaves with Miss Scarlet, he quotes the "you're gonna see some serious shit" line.
* BeethovenWasAnAlienSpy: After Scott says he somehow knows everything in every campaign he's in, Andy jokingly claims to be a time traveller [[TimeTravelForFunAndProfit "using his powers in the worst possible way"]].
* CallBack:
** Scott describes how Kara plays Mrs. White as being [[Recap/FilmRerollHomewardBoundTheIncredibleJourney a human Sassy]].
* DamnYouMuscleMemory: When [...], Paulo tells [...] to roll for Perception, before abruptly remembering he ''isn't'' the DM here.
* DestroyTheEvidence: Upon finding the blackmail material concerning her two ex-husbands, in particular the carbon copies of [[BlackWidow the coroner reports]], Mrs. White takes advantage of everyone being distracted by Mr. Boddy to crumple them up and toss them in the lit fireplace.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: After Lisa announces she has multple replacement NPCs for the others to hijack should they die during the campaign, Carolyn expresses an interest in playing Yvette... or, as Lisa points out, she wants to be actively killed.
* DiscreetDrinkDisposal: After being given his drink, Colonel Mustard dumps most of it the fire place once Wadsworth leaves the library, to make it seem like he drank it. But after taking a sip of what's left, [[DidntThinkThisThrough Mustard tries to salvage his drink from the fireplace, as it was actually good]]. He opts to instead refill his glass.
* FanGirl: It has been well established that Carolyn ''loves'' this movie. As such, she struggles to maintain her composure all throughout the first episode, up to and including trying to stop herself from outright hijacking Wadsworth. It gets to the point where Kara and Scott, both concerned, tell her to relax.
* GargleBlaster: After Wadsworth offers him a drink, Colonel Mustard demands three different whiskies, all poured in the same glass.
-->'''Joz''': It's just [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Daniel%27s Jack]], [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Beam Jim]], and [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_Trace_Distillery Buffalo Trace]], all in one glass.
* GoLookAtTheDistraction: When trying to sneak behind Wadsworth to steal his collection of papers, a failed Stealth roll means he turns around to see her. Kara then immediately pivots and claims to be trying to remove a spider from his hair. This works to the extent that she gets him to look away long enough for her to steal the papers afterall.
* HostileShowTakeover: Attempted: Due to how long the intro was getting Scott threatens to take over if Lisa doesn't wrangle everyone in... and then ''imediatelly'' tries anyway, to Carolyn's genuine anger.
* InternalReveal: Thanks to a successful IQ roll, Kara learns via a sidebar with Lisa that Mrs. White managed to deduce that Wadsworth ''isn't'' the butler.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: One of the mechanics of the campaign is that any given player can privately converse with Lisa for any action they wish to do, or any information they discover. The consequence is that the other players are kept in the dark.
* MathematiciansAnswer: When discussing the original campaign, Kara reveals that in the inventory on Mrs. White's character sheet was "Wrenches (enough)".
* NoodleIncident: One of the aspects of playing Professor Plum is that Scott has to keep rolling to resist his lecherous nature. According to both Scott and Paulo, he kept ''failing'' to do so in the original campaign, and as a result, things got ''very'' out of hand.
* NotWhatItLooksLike:
** Right at the top, Paulo had to add a mini-intro before the episode proper to make it clear that ''[[Recap/FilmRerollRogueTwoANewHope Rogue Two]]'' didn't end abruptly; this is just a case of a shorter campaign interrupting a longer one, like they've done in the past.
** Because of Carolyn deciding to play a dog when Professor Plum and Miss Scarlet meet Wadsworth, the latter assumes Wadsworth ''growled'' at her.
* ObligatoryJoke: Because of how [[{{Jerkass}} impatient and confrontational]] Colonel Mustard was being upon arriving at Hill House, everyone starts referring to him as "Spicy Mustard".
* ProlongedPrologue: The description of the plot at the top of the page doubles as a summary of the entirety of the first episode. After Mr. Boddy hands out his gifts, once he turns out the lights, Lisa calls it for the episode.
* RememberedTooLate: As Lisa is introducing Mrs. White as she arrives to the mansion, Kara abruptly remembers ''she'' is Mrs. White, and ''not'' Carolyn.
-->'''Kara''': (explaining her thought process) "I can't wait to see what Carolyn does with this character- '''wait'''. ...that can't be right..."
* RhymesOnADime: In his mini-intro explaining ''[[Recap/FilmRerollRogueTwoANewHope Rogue Two]]'' being interrupted:
-->'''Paulo''': So now, enjoy ''Clue'', and then back to "Rogue Two", with me and the crew... watching out for [[Recap/FilmRerollETTheExtraTerrestrial blue goo]]. Alright, that's enough of that. [[HypocriticalHumor With no further aideu]]... ''the episode''.
* RunningGag:
** Early on in the campaign, people keep saying it's a dark and stormy night, while the latter isn't true yet.
** For yet one more time, Carolyn mistakes a bit for something actually happening in a scene.
* SadisticChoice: When Mr. Boddy is giving out his "gifts", when trying to give Mrs. White one, he also tries to take the papers she stole out of her hand. Because she refuses to give them up, he decides to ''not'' giver her a "gift"... a trade that Kara is more than happy to abide by.
* SelfDeprecation: Downplayed: In his intro, Scott says his role in the show is to play "slightly creepy psychologists".
* TakeThat: Paulo cracks that if Kara had crit-failed her drink roll, she would've gotten Nattie Ice.
* {{Technobabble}}: Because Professor Plum doesn't know shit about cars, he "concludes" that Miss Scarlet's car broke down because the "discombobulator" broke.
* TemptingFate: Lisa attributes Andy's slightly-salty behavior to the fact that, prior to the original recording, the two of them had a text thread where he guessed he would be playing "anyone other than Colonel Mustard".
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: Scott's attempt at Creator/ChristopherLloyd is accused of being more akin to Creator/JimmyStewart.
* WithFriendsLikeThese: In regards to the lost recording, Kara calls out Andy for saying she ruined said session. While Andy calls her out for exaggerating, Scott just cracks that this meant it was a normal recording session. In turn, Kara openly wishes death upon Scott.
