* Kharis's backstory is almost the same as Imhotep in ''Film/TheMummy1932'', except that Kharis is a Prince from the Royal Palace, who tried to use Tana for resurrect his Princess, was captured, his tongue being cut, and was mummified. But even as a mummy, he is actually alive all those centuries as a decrepit body. Imhotep actually died. [[AndIMustScream Kharis is condemned to living, used as a mindless weapon to kill archaeologists and thiefs, under the rule of a cult, immortal, for thirty seven centuries, forever.]]

* The mummy himself. While Kharis looks more like a traditional mummy than [[Film/TheMummy1932 Imhotep]] does, his silent nature and BlackEyesOfEvil make sure he never quite leaves the UncannyValley.
* The scene where Kharis wakes up and murders Dr. Petrie. It starts with him slowly opening his black, soulless eyes and grabbing the doctor's throat while he futilely screams in protest, before the scene abruptly cuts away to the protagonists. When the scene cuts back, the doctor's lifeless corpse is lying on the ground while Kharis leaves to continue his murderous rampage.
