Added DiffLines:

The Dragoncrown saga is a trilogy by Vincent Avis. It consists of Soul Storm, True Names, and a yet unnamed conclusion.

Ethan, a young prince of Talidar, is captured and forced into slavery, only to be rescued by the son of his master. Samet, son of the enemy warlord, is a powerful sorcerer out to save the world from his own father. They travel through the land of the fey on a quest to destroy an ancient and evil artifact, succeeding only to find themselves with an entirely new set of problems.

!!Tropes featured include:
* AbsurdlySharpBlade: One of Ethan's specially enchanted daggers cuts through an enemy's sword
* BullyingADragon: Despite Samet's reputation and noted power, there are still people dumb enough to actively try provoking him.
* BadassFamily: The Kendalls and the Vadins both qualify, though the Vadins are a much darker version.
* ConvectionSchmonvection: Samet is literally hot-tempered, raising the temperature of whatever room he is in when he starts to get angry.
* CulturedBadass: Samet is well read and highly educated, and quite possibly the most dangerous man alive.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Samet is said to be hellspawn, and willingly admits that some part of him is in fact demonic.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Ethan and Samet make it very clear they will not hesitate to protect each other. [[spoiler: King Robert eventually gives one to Samet as well.]]
* FriendlyFireproof: Samet's clothing and Ethan.
* GoodIsNotSoft: Despite being one of the good guys, Samet is perfectly willing to burn people alive
* KickTheDog: Neither Arda and Vadin hesitate to kick a dog when the opportunity presents itself.
* KillItWithFire: Being a creature of fire himself, this is generally Samet's preferred tactic. He can use other elements, he just happens to be at his best with fire.
* KnifeNut: Ethan regularly carries around two dozen knives
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: [[spoiler: King Sikander ignores the edicts of the council and aids in the rescue of Samet]] because all the available evidence indicates Samet is on the side of good.
* ShipperOnDeck: Upon realizing the illicit relationship between [[spoiler: Sir Xavier and Princess Sarah]], both Samet and Ethan actively encourage the relationship and cover for them. [[spoiler: Sir Jakob also seems to be one for Samet and Ethan, covering for them.]]
* SilkHidingSteel: The ladies of King Robert's court are diplomats and scholars. None hesitate to pick up a weapon and stride in to defend their loved ones.
