* ''Heartwarming/Scream1996''
* ''Heartwarming/Scream2''

* ''Heartwarming/Scream2022''
* ''Heartwarming/ScreamVI''

!!First film:
* While it gets horribly, ''horribly'' subverted very quickly, the initial conversation between Casey and Ghostface is actually kind of nice, giving the impression that the mysterious caller is socially awkward and just wants somebody to talk to, with Casey being nice enough to not immediately hang up when called back and talk with him about horror movies.
* The scene in the climax where Sidney finds Dewey after being chased by the killer, before it's revealed he was stabbed in the back. The smile on his face when he sees that she's OK just shows why Dewey is a fan-favorite. And while the scene quickly turns into a HopeSpot once he falls over, the ending reveals that he survived.
* Throughout the film, it's clear that Tatum is a very caring and supportive best friend to Sidney. After Casey is murdered, Tatum lets Sidney sleep over so she won't be alone, and assures her she'll get to the house as soon as possible. And when Sidney is attacked, Tatum never leaves her side, defends her from Gale's prying, and calls Stu on his insensitivity to her the next day.
** And when Sidney starts thinking that something's wrong with her for having a fear of intimacy, Tatum assures her that she's got a good reason to have that fear and doesn't have to put herself down.
* Gale shows her softer side and looks genuinely pleased when Dewey admits he may have a thing for her. The movie doesn't confirm if she was partly using him to get a story, but it leans more towards no and that she was sincere.
* Gale's cameraman showing excitement at the idea of getting an innocent man off death row.
* During the BathroomStallOfOverheardInsults scene, one of the girls is firmly defending Sidney against her friend's accusation.
* While [[AndThereWasMuchRejoicing almost everyone else at the party is delighted by the news of Principal Himbry's murder]], the normally macabre Randy is subdued and respectful.
* Sidney's relief when Randy and Dewey turn out to be alive, as well as getting to save her dad.
** A small moment, but when he's revealed to be tied up in the closet, she calls out "daddy". It's the first time she says that in the film, and it's hinted she may have suspected him as her mother's killer. Now she knows he's not, and calling him "daddy" could be interpreted as a sort of relief that he was always her loving father and never did anything to hurt her mother.

!!Second film:

* A reporter insinuates that Dewey is responsible for the new Ghostface killings. Gale, clearly outraged that anyone could even make such a claim, says that Dewey is a good guy "unlike some of us".
** Goes both ways. When Randy claims that Gale could be responsible, Dewey says that Gale is lots of things but she’s no killer.
* Minor one in the end. After spending the entire film still being uncomfortable around Cotton despite knowing he didn't kill her mother, Sid praises him on National TV, allowing him to become a public hero. This is after he [[spoiler:saved her life from Debra]].
* Sidney's boyfriend gives her his Greek letters to protect her, and indeed they do - at the end of the movie she uses them to disable the killer for a moment. She continues to wear them in 3.
* The sense of support and acceptance Sidney and Randy get from their classmates and teachers in general, and not just major characters like Derek and Hallie, is touching.
** A SpearCarrier girl in Sidney's dorm alerts her about the new killing spree in a way that indicates concern for Sidney and understanding of the grim implications.
** Sidney clearly views her drama professor as a CoolTeacher, and he's patient and reassuring toward her. Several student actors also show concern and sympathy rather than annoyance or contempt when Sidney has a FreakOut ([[AmbiguousSituation brought on by either a Ghostface attack or a hallucination]] during rehearsal.
** Randy and the other kids in his film class have a good rapport. Just seeing him in film class after he was previously just a video rental clerk is a great way for him to explore his passions.
** While LovableAlphaBitch sorority duo Lois and Murphy seemingly want to cash in on Sidney's celebrity status, they also seem to like her on a personal level and seem touched by Derek's GrandRomanticGesture.
* Due to Mickey's manipulation, Sidney hesitates in helping Derek, thinking him to be a killer. Mickey then shoots Derek. Before Derek dies, he tells Sidney he never would have hurt her.

* The simple fact that, despite the seemingly never-ending TraumaCongaLine she’s forced to endure, Sidney never fails to treat others with kindness, even when some people don’t deserve it.
