While the Japanese version ended with a mildly ominous/forbearing scene of Greedy and some of his minions on a rocky world, picking themselves up from the wreckage of the base (and implying a SequelHook), the NA/EU versions of the game, in a weird inversion of AmericanKirbyIsHardcore, ended with a wonderfully heart-warming "DAD!" and a picture of Ristar leaping into the arms of his rescued father (who is way, WAY bigger than him).
