** It ''is'' against the clock, the "clock" in question being how long they have until 10pm, when the recording finishes.

* Bob Mortimer's claim in Series 16 episode 6 that his "teeth fell out" sounds absurd at first, unless you remember the fact from Series 11 episode 4 (when Bob announced that his did own dentistry) that the top teeth in the front of his mouth were all a one piece implant. 9 teeth falling at out once seems absurd, but a single piece implant falling out is much more plausible. Of course, Bob never denied the teeth in question were part of an implant but no one ever asked.

* The "Quickfire Lies" round used to be introduced as "the panellists lie not only through their teeth but also against the clock", but they're not actually against the clock at all. Which means this is a lie about the format of the show itself.
