* AdaptationNameChange: Thankfully averted. Prior to its release, rumors spread that some of the nameless characters would be named after their Disney counterparts; Cinderella's Stepmother would become [[Disney/{{Cinderella}} Lady Tremaine]], Cinderella's Prince would become Prince Charming, Rapunzel's Prince would become [[Disney/{{Tangled}} Flynn Ryder]], etc. Of course, these rumors were eventually labeled as false.

Interestingly enough, several cut songs appear in the scenes as background music where the songs were. Listen to the music as the Baker [[spoiler: mourns his wife's passing]] and you'll hear "No More". "Ever After" is the march played as the first "act" ends at Cinderella's wedding.

Set in a far off kingdom near the woods, the story follows a childless baker and his wife, who were cursed with infertility by a vengeful witch. One day, however, the witch offers to reverse the curse if the pair brings her four items: [[Literature/JackAndTheBeanstalk the cow as white as milk]], [[Literature/LittleRedRidingHood the cape as red as blood]], [[Literature/{{Rapunzel}} the hair as yellow as corn]], and [[Literature/{{Cinderella}} the slipper as pure as gold]].
