* IgnoredEpiphany: When Chip and Dale try to convince Sweet Pete that he doesn't have to be alone anymore and that he still would be loved, Sweet Pete seems to go through a HeelRealization but turns out he does not listen to reason as he criticizes Chip and Dale's performances as a result.

I don't think Ugly Sonic could be spoiled anymore, since he's now widely known by the public.

* ShoutOut:
** "Double-O-Dale", the spinoff show pitch that broke up the Rescue Rangers is based off of [[Film/JamesBond James Bond, also known as "Double-O-Seven"]], and also doubles as a CallBack to the ''Rescue Rangers'' episode, "Double O Chipmunk".
** Bjornson the Cheese Seller Muppet is an obvious Expy of [[Franchise/TheMuppets The Swedish Chef]].
** A movie called ''[[ComicBook/{{Batman}} Batman]] vs. [[Film/ETTheExtraTerrestrial E.T.]]'' is shown, where Batman seemingly comes close to killing E.T., clearly a reference to the ending of ''Film/BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice''. The batsuit shown is similar to Batman's in that film, while the colour palette and cinematography of the shots evoke the film as well.[[note]]Larry Fong was the cinematographer for both this movie and ''Batman v Superman''.[[/note]]
** Whilst not explicit, Jimmy The Polar Bear seems to be one of the Coca-Cola Polar Bears.
** When Sweet Pete tells his backstory to Chip and Dale, he says at one point [[Film/{{Hook}} "Bangarang."]]
** The wall of toon parts features all manner of familiar objects and characters' defining features, including [[WesternAnimation/TheSmurfs a Smurf's]] hat, [[WesternAnimation/RockyAndBullwinkle Rocky's]] aviator hat, [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Pikachu's tail]], [[Franchise/DragonBall Shenron]], [[Franchise/KingdomHearts Sora's hair and his Keyblade]], [[WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfJimmyNeutronBoyGenius Jimmy Neutron's]] hair, [[WesternAnimation/ThePinkPanther the Pink Panther's mouth]], and [[WesternAnimation/AaahhRealMonsters Ickis's]] mouth.
** Detective Putty is a claymation creature clearly inspired by ''WesternAnimation/{{Gumby}}''.
** The banner falling in front of [[spoiler:Sweet Pete's monstrous form]] is written in the font of the "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" banner from Film/JurassicPark. He even lets out Rexy's roar as it falls.
** Detective Putty flattening himself, flowing under the door and re-emerging, complete with the musical sting, along with his incapacitation via freezing and shattering is a nod to the T-1000 from ''Film/Terminator2JudgmentDay''. Ellie even does a one-liner that serves as a call-back to earlier in the film before beating him like how John Connor suggested to the T-800 to say "Hasta la Vista, Baby", only Ellie says what Putty told her to not "be so fragile".
*** He also [[Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit turns his hand into an anvil]] during the same scene.
** ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes''- and ''WesternAnimation/IceAge''-branded food can be seen in Chip's fridge and Sweet Pete melts down Franchise/{{Shrek}} body wash bottles to be remade into port-a-potties. The ''Looney Tunes''-branded frozen meal in fact was an actual real life product sold in the 1990s.
** While they don't physically appear in the film, WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty are referenced twice; a guy dressed as Pickle Rick can be seen at [=FanCon=] and, [[spoiler:when scanned by the Bootlegging machine]], Chip and Dale are briefly rendered as the titular duo.
** The 'No Expectations' street art Miles Morales made in ''WesternAnimation/SpiderManIntoTheSpiderVerse'' [[https://twitter.com/SpiderMan3news/status/1528139845817749504 can be seen as Chip and Dale make their way to Main Street.]]
** Apparently in this universe Creator/MerylStreep is starring in a [[Main/GenderFlip Gender Flipped]] version of ''Film/MrsDoubtfire''.
*** There is also a Toys/{{LEGO}} adaptation of ''Theatre/LesMiserables''.
** The angry, talking cannonballs fired from [[spoiler:Sweet Pete's arm cannon]] resemble [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Bullet Bills]].
** The end credits feature a poster of many Disney characters about to duke it out in a game titled "[[WesternAnimation/TheDisneyAfternoon Disney Afternoon]] Fight Fest". The poster and concept are very reminiscent of ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate'' and games that followed in its wake such as ''VideoGame/NickelodeonAllStarBrawl'' and ''VideoGame/{{MultiVersus}}''.
** During one scene, Chip can be seen walking down the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Some characters that have their own stars are WesternAnimation/SamuraiJack, WesternAnimation/YogiBear, [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants Squidward]], and [[Franchise/StreetFighter Chun-Li]].
** The fictional episode shown being filmed at the beginning involves Dale getting hit on the head and seeing CirclingBirdies, much like the cartoon being filmed at the beginning of ''Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit''.
** One of Sweet Pete's tools [[spoiler:in his bag of torture implements is [[Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit a bottle of Dip.]]]]
** At the end, [[spoiler:Sweet Pete]] is shown in [[Literature/SilenceOfTheLambs a straightjacket and face mask tied to a pushcart]].

Added DiffLines:

* FurryConfusion: Despite the clear difference between real animals and anthropomorphized animals, a few of these come up. Chip owns a pet dog, and when he tries to explain this to Dale the latter takes him to mean he has a girlfriend who ''is'' a dog. This makes the mention of peeing on the carpet come across differently to Dale, and Chip's insistence that she's a dog to explain don't help.

He seems to retain his personality just fine despite this, aside from meowing when he reveals himself, but as soon as he sees a flock of cartoon birds his instincts take over and he tries to eat them.

Apparently being CG lessens it further, as Chip complains that Dale can't be squeezed out of a restraint like he could if he were traditionally animated.
