Quickly assuming the identity of Emerald Gleaner, a unicorn mare created from Rarity and Roseluck's DNA, Oskar infiltrates Ponyville and Equestrian society in an effort to neutralize the Elements of Harmony and become "the top of the food chain."

Emerald manages to avoid many of the episodes original escalating plot lines by simply talking to the main 6 and snatching away the IdiotBall before it can snowball into a problem. The down side to this is that many of the life lessons Twilight and the others would have walked away with aren't learned because of Emeralds interference and this comes back to bite them all later…. * DeathWorld; Even though Equestria is home to things like dragons and hydras the complete lack of ‘Harmony’ (and magic) gives Twilight the impression that earth is this when Emerald tries to describe her old home. But not because Emerald was trying to make it sound like that, or was describing the New York Zone, it was simply because the description made it sound like the everfree forest- a ‘strange’ and ‘unnatural’ place where plants grow on their own, the weather isn’t controlled by ponies, and the animals take care of themselves (where they may even eat you if they’re hungry enough).
