* AdaptationalBadass: The heroes frequently receive a bevy of new powers which demolish the limits of their miraculouses in canon. (For instance, other kwami besides Tikki are able to purify akumas and clean up their damage). This makes a lot of akuma who were very challenging in the show much easier to defeat, since the heroes can simply bury them with all their new powers.

* ForWantOfANail: The central premise of the fic: [[WhatIf What if Marinette started the new school year reassigned to Mendeleiev's class rather than staying in Bustier's?]]

** Audrey Bourgeois to Mme Bustier. Both want Chloé to reform and think that Marinette would be a good role model, but their methods of dealing with the SpoiledBrat are vastly different. Bustier constantly coddled Chloé and enabled her bullying by pressuring her favorite victim to TurnTheOtherCheek and "set a good example" for her, only realizing this is wrong after Ladybug personally spells it out to her. Audrey flatly refuses to tolerate Chloé's bad behavior and recognizes that the responsibility of keeping Chloé in line lies with an ''adult'', not the teenager she's been victimizing, reassuring Marinette that she doesn't have to put up with Chloé if she doesn't want to.
