** After getting info at the Cerise Lab, Gloria concludes that Chloe is an abuse victim at home, the Institute at school. But she says in such a blunt manner that pisses off Professor Cerise before he breaks down in tears at how he's a horrible person who was only trying to do right and Gloria realizes that she was horrible to call him abusive. Chapters later, Goh concludes that while the analogy was wrong, the basis that no one (not even Goh himself) took the time to see what was going on with Chloe was right.
** The Nurse Joy who visits Tokio is very smug about what he's gone through, but she makes a valid point that Tokio keeps making excuses for himself even when people tell him how he could've done things differently and refuses to change despite having so much help.
** George Gore did kidnap the Earth Ignis, destroy his Crystla Heart, have him be vivisected by Queen and then gets implanted with a Duel Chip based on his data, but he states that Specter has done far worse than Gore himself. Sure Specter is sad at one Ignis dying, but did he care about the thousands of people tortured and absorbed into data to power up the Tower of Hanoi to destroy all six? Did he care about breaking Blue Angel into bits by mind raping her and tearing up the book that kept her afloat? Did he show pity when Ryoken defeated Gore? Not in the slightest. Specter internally notes that Gore is 100% accurate about everything.

** When Victor calls Tokio, he tells the boy that if he just told his parents to call Goh's parents, instead of his convulted plan to leave a letter at Celebi's shrine or asking Celebi to travel back a year before, it would've prevented Tokio from getting on the Train, prevent Goh from being isolated from others and later save Chloe from her own bullying.

* AnAesop: Promises play an important part of the story and there are numerous lessons in regards to them.
** If you keep a promise, be serious about actually keeping them. If you keep breaking a promise yet never do anything to change it, you prove to others that you cannot be trustworthy. Chloe's problems at school and her trust issues stem from not having people actually keep their promises. Gloria points out that people all around her never do anything to maintain their promises which ultimately makes it feel like Chloe will never find peace.
** If you can't keep a promise, make sure to apologize as soon as possible through direct communication. Tokio decided to ask Celebi to rewind time to a year ago and leave a letter at Celebi's shrine instead of doing the smart thing and tell his parents to call Goh's about it so they have proper closure.
** While making a promise is important, make sure you understand which promsies are more important than others. Goh is able to keep a promise to go to testing once a month; but he can never keep a promise to be on time for Chloe and always makes excuses to never do it again...yet he keeps repeating the cycle all while ignorant to Chloe's problems.

There is also a side-story, Infinity Train: Orchid Observer, written by co-author Green Phantom Queen. Taking place some time after the events of Book 2, Jesse Cosay decides he wants to inform the loved ones of the Apex about the Train, unaware how people want to make sure that information never leaks out.

* BothSidesHaveAPoint: The prologue of Orchid Observer have Jesse and Lake debate on whether or not they should inform the families of the Apex about the Train. Jesse thinks that they should have some closure while Lake points out that this could accidentally bring the family members onto the Train itself to search for them.

* AdultsAreUseless:
** It's both Discussed and Defied in regards to Professor Sycamore. Because Alain disappeared under his tutelage, and his lack of combat experience, he thinks of himself as TheLoad when the Train picks him up. Not only does Rimuru rebuff this claim, as giving into it would make his number rise, but the professor plays a key role in saving the wolf village.
** Downplayed and Justified with Meyer/Blaziken Mask. Being the vigilante, he does do more to help the world with crime than the professor, but because he's completely caught off-guard when the Train enters the picture, there's little he can do besides give moral support.

* BloodlessCarnage: At the Diorama Car, Sycamore sees a soldier that's missing a leg, but there's no blood or gore to be seen. This is justified, since the soldier's made of plastic.
* BroodingBoyGentleGirl: This becomes the dynamic between Goh and Gloria when they meet, since Goh's currently in a HeroicBSOD after Chloe's message and Gloria, being a former Passenger, gives him InUniverseCatharsis to at least help his mental problems somewhat.

** Goh bumps into Gloria on his way to the Cerise Institute after Chloe's goodbye message, and she stays with him even after he snaps, even giving him some InUniverseCatharsis in the form of a smash game. Because of this, Goh's on a more stable mental place, at least for the moment.

* InUniverseCatharsis: Gloria has Goh play a game of Smash Bros. Ultimate to vent out his frustrations.

** Rimuru thinks that Alain's disappearance is based on the Apex. Readers know that the Apex are just a bit player compared to Walter and Henry's schemes to keep Alain with them forever.

* NotMakingThisUpDisclaimer: The author is not lying when she states that there's a Zedd song called "Shave It".

* RunningGag: Like in most Blossomverse tales, Jaden Yuki has made a name for himself.

** When Sycamore learns about Chloe being on the Train and that she's the one stopping the Apex, his AdultFear levels rise even more due to the idea of this ten-year-old girl valiantly going on a quest to stop a cult. And remember that

** He is later given numerous potions for his travels courtesy of Rimuru.
