* HeroicBastard: All Might reveals to [[spoiler:Inko]] that he his parents weren't married when he was born. Their relationship became more strained when they did marry and have more children when he was a teenager.

* LikeFatherUnlikeSon: To Toshinori's delight, Izuku is a kind, thoughtful boy who cares for others and tries to do the right thing. Unlike his father All For One who is regarded as the worst monsters to ever curse humanity.

* RelatedInTheAdaptation: Izuku is revealed to be the son of the Emperor of Quirks.
* RetGone: The unfortunate fate of Izuku Midoriya. Because All Might is successful in killing the Dark King, Inko would never meet him meaning that Izuku will never be born.

* StayWithMeUntilIDie: Izuku manages to invoke this so he can be with his father in the last moments before his time jump.

* TheWorkaholic: All Might has been working himself ragged when it comes to crime fighting, preparing for future disasters and managing paperwork all on his own. It doesn't help that he's still grieving and is using Izuku's death as fuel to keep himself going. In Chapter 4, it's deconstructed as the ongoing stress mixed with All Might not allowing himself to rest leaves him exhausted to properly engage in serious combat.
