Gordon Peters, born Gordon Peter Wilkinson, (29 November 1926 -- 15 June 2022), was a British actor best known for playing guest roles in {{Britcom}}s.

His first acting job came in 1951; Peters had been working in Zimbabwe as a bank clerk and upon his return to the UK, he saw an advert in ''[[UsefulNotes/BritishNewspapers The Stage]]'' for a summer season at Blackpool's Opera House. In 1973, he starred in his very own {{Sitcom}}, ''The Gordon Peters Show'', while by TheNineties, he made three appearances in ''Series/OneFootInTheGrave'' as the incredibly boring Ronnie.

Aside from these roles, most of Peters' resume during this period was filled with guest roles in comedy series including ''Series/AreYouBeingServed'', ''Series/DadsArmy'', ''Series/GraceAndFavour'', ''Series/HiDeHi'', ''Series/JustGoodFriends'', ''Series/KeepingUpAppearances'', ''Series/LastOfTheSummerWine'', ''Series/ToTheManorBorn'', and ''Series/YouRangMLord''.

After providing voices for ''WesternAnimation/MrMenAndLittleMiss'', Peters' career slowly [[{{Pun}} petered out]], and by the mid-2000s had stopped acting, barring a small role in a 2011 episode of ''Series/{{Mongrels}}''.

He died at the age of 95.
