* GoodGirlsAvoidAbortion: Played with. In an earlier work, ''Options and Considering'', it's discussed and one of the characters talks about it negatively, whereas the others did bring up that, with principles against the procedure, one doesn't have too many options, making the opinion, in that sense neutral.
** In ''Concerning a Drifter'', the issue is brought up subtly, however, for a neutral and honest, as a very traumatized and mentally ill Ryuuko was found to have become pregnant (four times) by rape and, thus, isn't fit to care for a child, as she cannot take care of herself, however, its also mentioned that, while she isn't mentally well enough to care for a child, neither is she mentally sound enough to make the choice of terminating, along with dealing with the outcomes of either option if she actually is pregnant. Naturally, her guardian and sister, Satsuki isn't sure of how to bring up the issue of pregnancy and the options to her.

*AdoptivePeerParent: Played With in that the children she cares for are her cousins and little sister but Bunny is in early to mid twenties, though, she hasn't given birth to any children to speak of but she is considerably a bit young for motherhood. It is stated here that she didn't even finish college when Madgie came to live with her and is studying online so she can do so as to better provide for her youngest cousins.
**It was noted that, at some point, when Madgie was nine and she was twenty, she was mistaken for being Madgie's mother, something that would be virtually impossible, seeing as Bunny is 11 years older than Madgie.

* UsefulNotes/{{Onmyodo}}: She's explored this with ''Broken Gate'', as, apparently, given the setting, Nezumi is an omnyouji, the which is implied in the fact that she's sealed away something powerful behind a gate and has to reinforce those seals, along with placing a curse on her older brother.

to:

* UsefulNotes/{{Onmyodo}}: She's explored this with ''Broken Gate'', as, apparently, given the setting, Nezumi *OlderThanTheyLook: If anything in Doki's Chronicles is an omnyouji, the which is implied to go by then Toki and Doki are really somewhere in their eighties or nineties, as back in the fact that she's sealed away something powerful behind a gate time when these two were born cerebral palsy and has selective-mutism were not explainable and were beyond their birth-parents comprehension, except for by a horrible disease (Doki's case) and being a 'good child', as seen and not heard (Toki's case). To further point this out, they should not be able to reinforce those seals, along with placing have babies but did. However, there is a curse on her reason as to why the are older brother.than they look and that is because they were frozen when they were 12 and a half years old, drastically slowing down their aging process and causing them to age as if nothing changed.
**If asked, Amo'll relay a story of how she was mistaken for a child (probably in the range of 12-15-years) and had people assume, until she corrected them because she looks younger than what some'll assume.

*PromotionToParent: Bunny has been this to Sweetheart and Speckles, Eglantine, and, of course, Madgie. Needless to say, understandably so, she was rather unwilling to take on these responsibilities but, with her younger cousins, she seems not to mind.
**According to ''Doki's Chronicles'', Toki, the older twin, took something of a caregiving role to Doki when their parents died.

Added DiffLines:

*VagueAge: Due to her art style, as well as writing, its hard to gauge a character's age
** Toki and her twin sister Doki are older than they appear but how old they are is never stated, though, going by Doki's Chronicles, they should be about either in their late eighties to early nineties, as the setting of one of the stories was in the nineteen twenties to thirties and their clothing from that point in time seems to suggest about that.
**There is also Eglantine and presumably she is a toddler, as she is still in diapers and young enough to attend nursery school, though, if the passage of time is to go by, she should be four if not five and what is known is that she still a young child. Justified, in this case as no one has no clue as to how old Eglantine is because they don't know her birthday, thus they wouldn't know the year in which she was born in.
**Brownie is stated to be "likely to be in early to mid twenties" though she was about twelve or thirteen when she met Toki, making that a tad more appropriate.
**Magnolia is stated to be about 2-4
**The authoress hasn't revealed ''exactly'' how old she is, although, we do know she older than eighteen.

*TangledFamilyTree: It's hard to explain Bunny and Madgie's family tree but it is clear it is this trope, seeing that the two have so many relatives, it is hard to tell who is related to which, as well as the fact that they are so numerous they are scattered throughout the world, coupled with the fact that some of them are all younger than Madgie. The fact that they are anthro rabbits also has something to do with it.

However, this is arguable, seeing as Giselle wasn't nice a person and had probably taken advantage of Toki's mental illnesses (the fact that Toki never did seem to remember why she let her live there in the first place supports this), in which case she probably had it coming, doubly so since she was warned beforehand.
**Sure, what Toki was mentioned to have done to Frailine wasn't right, however, either way, the latter decided to raise an army of the dead to kill her. However, for getting hit with a rock, Toki did send her attached to a bus by magnet with very little means of getting back.

*TheDragon: Brownie to Toki, as the former does almost whatever the latter asks, no questions.

*PolarOppositeTwins: Doki is much different than her twin sister Toki. Both dress somewhat alike but wear different colors: black or purple for Toki, reflecting her enigmatic, yet domineering but secretly kindhearted personality, and pink and white for Doki, reflecting her kind, gentle, and angelic personality. It isn't just that, according to Amoridere, Doki is more morally grounded than Toki is (as in, she wouldn't stoop to schemes or anything illegal to meet her demands, whereas the latter probably and more often than not would), along with being more levelheaded, and, Toki, well, she is described as being one who does what she wants, whenever she so wants to do it, consequences be damned. It was also noted that, when the two were children, Doki was always the shy one, while Toki was more assertive.

The traits that remains true to both point of views is that secretary committed suicide, the house they moved in, a missing little sister, the children being left in the care of a new family, and someone being mentally ill. **Toki's past and if they are to be believed started is this, particularly so when she tried to runaway from them and, as Brownie put it She was once sweet and only wanted to be loved. Lets see? Here they are:
***She was abused and then neglected causing her to almost die of leukemia, during the events of Flashbacks I, soemthing that caused something in her to drive her insane in the next incident (see below)
***She returned to the place where she was once abused so she can get hold of the inheritance money but went insane during the events of Insanity and Resentment and has had issues eve since.
**Frailine (the one Toki abused) is also an example as per these statements:
***She was imprisoned for being criminally insane after the events of ''Little Girl's Revenge'' when she almost killed Toki and damaged the border between this world and the next. Kind of a DisproportionateRetribution, compared to what Toki did to her (abused her and then, sometime afterward, she sent to Alaska attached to a bus by a magnet with no means of getting home)
***Sometime after being imprisoned, she almost kills herself twice and is never seen again, as per stated, in ''Diary of a Borderline Schizophrenic'', driving Toki into more self-hate because of it.

* TroubledAbuser: Toki starts out like this and abuses her friends and then Frailine (real name: Jaynine). Her reasons for any of this: She's mentally ill and cannot always discern right from wrong, and another is that she was abused and almost died of leukemia as a result of her caregiver's neglect (something she can't let go and that drove her insane, thus making her ticking time bomb all through high school, in which she was borderline insane) and now wanted to be the one in control and the one to hurt. Her reasons for abusing Frailine is because its more like revenge and a slap to the face to her deceased adopted (technically foster) mother for abusing her after Frailine was born. Sad thing about that, she wasn't always like this and was once very sweet, making her sort of a Jerkass Woobie and her past a Break the Cutie.

*AdultFear: A lot of her writing has this trope, however, no one really knows why.

*AmbiguousDisorder: She writes a lot of mentally ill characters.

**FirstPersonPerspective seems to be her favorite style of writing.

*GrayAndGreyMorality: How she might write her stories, where the characters' actions are not entirely justified but not entirely condemned.

* PoemFic: Some of her fanfics are written as poems, an example of which would be ''She Still Cried'', which is a poem about then infants Satsuki and [[spoiler: Ryuuko]].

*PurpleProse: Downplayed to a degree, however, while she doesn't often use flowery language (or use much of it), she is descriptive, especially when said story is told through a 1st-person narration (usually with how someone looks).
*RashomonStyle: Her BasedOnaDream fic ''Second Story Window'' with Satsuki and Ragyo's perspective as how the two girls exited second story window and the events leading up to it. Satsuki's point of view claimed Ragyo was psychotic and would be prone to lashing out violently and the fact that her little sister jumped, whereas Ragyo's POV states that Satsuki was psychotic, although not violent and, actually, ''dropped'' her little sister out of the window before jumping herself. The traits that remains true to both point of views is that secretary committed suicide, the house they moved in, a missing little sister, the children being left in the care of a new family, and someone being mentally ill. Whether or not one of the point of views is correct is left up in the air for the reader to decide.

*RougeAnglesOfSatin: She is prone to misspelling things when she writes, however, this mostly comes from the fact her word program doesn't have a spellcheck, regardless, she is quick to correct whatever errors she made once she notices or if pointed out.

* SelfHarm: A subject of at least a few of poems.

**Also the same with the fic ''Paper Cranes'' but played with, Satsuki is sick but Ryuuko is quite aware that she's hiding something and doesn't know what, regardless, knows that Satsuki seemed to be in denial about dying. In the end, we (and Ryuuko) find out why Satsuki kept the extent and diagnosis of her illness a secret, the reason being because [[spoiler:she was dying of heart failure and the doctors offered to place her on a list to receive a heart transplant, even if there were no donors available, to which she declined, knowing she'd die before a donor is found and not wanting Ryuuko to kill herself, so the latter's heart could be used in a transplant.]]

*BloodFromTheMouth: Played for silliness in the poem ''Blood Running from the Mouth'', where said character is angry and not injured. Likewise, her angry art usually has these.

*EmotionlessGirl: Nezumi really seemed to have mastered suppressing her emotions in light of her situation, as examined in chapter 4, when it's noted that she lament doesn't feel painful (like it would for some), instead, it feels cold. It's to such an extent that she wished she could cry or, at least, shed tears, something to express her anguish in some way. Likewise, she hadn't felt cold in a long time, either, and is very detached from her own thoughts towards it. Naturally, her feeling lament for the first time made her realize how her pragmatism had its drawbacks in that she had shut her mind off to anything irrelevant to guarding the gate, her thoughts and feelings included, in which case she stopped feeling them.
**To some extent, six chapters afterwards, this becomes a bit more extreme, as when she starts to feel the aforementioned, she decides to, as the story put it, "destroy" that feeling and doesn't feel it again for the remainder of the chapter (a move called [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disaffectation disaffection]]). The reason as to why she does this was because she couldn't cry, thus, she refuses to allow herself to feel them once they come, as, if she cannot express them well, then there isn't a purpose in feeling them, almost invoking this trope more directly. In short, she would much rather be emotionless and not to feel emotions vs not being able to express them. When she finally does feel her emotions, it's when [[spoiler:she's dying and its also when she cries]].

Her mourning family sends people to look for her but, because of her scars, they don't recognize her, leaving her to live quietly but happy with the villagers, said villagers loving her as much she does they.
